Hello this is my first post, (soz on english)
i was thinking about we should make a Wither fighting arena that the wither will spawn in once a month or like it cus the star is used to make a beacon that is very expensive in the market, so if the wither will spawn once a month no one gonna be really rich from it and there will be another way to get a nether star.
Thanks for reading this please comment below :D

This is a pretty good idea but it seems that I've seen it somewhere.
-
I like this idea ^_^
-
To many guests ragequitting. -1
-
Like it and but players shouldn't be able to know ehen the either spawns in because their could br just one player comstantly waiting for it to spawn every month. But that could be figuired out easily +1
-
I think mabey not the auto spawn but somewhere we can fight withers we collect the skulls for in

We have PvP, are they not going to rage quit there? Or from losing stuff in lava while mining?
-
This idea. I like it.

There is one problem...Making a beacon with the star you get, then sell it for 150k, people could easily get money....If someone got 2 they could have 300k easy.
-
Mabe it could be like the lottery where you kill wither then go into a draw and you win ONE wither star

let's say IF this is implemented, you will be denied the ability to sell a beacon.
and by you I mean everyone

So you can still buy one, but not sell it anymore? In that case then yes things would be fair and I would agree with this idea.

That sounds like a good idea not to sell them at the market if this was added :)
-
I prefer being able to sell beacons to be honest

I agree, if you've saved up 150k to use a beacon to mine out an area it'd be nice to not just loose that 150k on one tiny item but to sell it back, that's why I like beacons at the market at the moment, if you can afford one then you can always sell it back.

I think this has more problems than it's worth, the current price is something to work towards and it isn't meant to be easy.

also if we were to remove the ability to sell them it would pretty much be a slap to the face of anyone who bought a beacon on the premise that they could sell it back if they needed the money in the future
-
How about we disable the actual crafting of beacons? I've seen (waaaay back then) tekkit servers that disabled crafting of certain items for purposes similar to this.

Sooooo...your saying all you gain a special star which you can't place? Thats the point in coding all of this..just for that.

If this is going to happen I would like to see it happen like this.
Players must gather the wither skulls themselves.
Warp to fighting area, then battle the wither by themselves.
If wither wins it despawns.
If players wins he gets star.
Player must re-gather skulls to attempt again.
Also take skulls out of market.

i agree

I talked to a few people on Mumble about something like this, when the beacon stuff was released. It went pretty much how VoreReznor said it.
1. If a player has 3 wither skulls in their inventory, they type /witherbattle or whatever.
2. They get teleported to a 200x200 world where the wither spawns in 10 seconds or so, giving the player time to prepare.
3. If they kill it, they have 5 minutes to collect the star before they're teleported to their old position, and the world is deleted. If they're killed, the'll also be teleported to their old position, and the world deleted ready for the next person.
There's obviously a lot of coding involved there, and lots of things that could go wrong. Not to mention the creating and deleting worlds on the fly, could cause a lot of lag and other server performance issues. It's an interesting concept, though.

I like this idea apart from wither skulls are hard to get and some people want the. For decor etc.. Also as you said the constant deleting of a world could add to server lag which is another thing not to mention we don't have an active coder...

Who is going to code all this :p

It still wouldnt be fair to remove him of over 5mil$ worth of beacons
