I thought this could be a suggestion because When you tame wolves, they follow you around, and I was wondering if Horses could follow you after you tamed them, and then it would be less stressful to make a stable and you can't set a home there because you used your amount of homes on there. So, I thought Mules, Horses, and Donkeys could follow you around like dogs can. For instance, when you are far away from a dog, they teleport to you, and so do cats.

One problem, horses dont exist without a mod....
Also, what if you want them to stop following you, gonna make a freaking horse sit or something?( That would be a very interestiong site to see)

In 1.6 horses will be added to minecraft, so he's saying a future implementation to the server.

We still dont know full mechanics of horsies

Laying Horses! :P

Tamed horses will follow you, but the problem is, I don't know, that I don't think they will teleport long distances. I do like this idea, it would be great for this to happen.
Forgot about ropes =p sorry.

Lol nice one. I didn't mean to shut this subject down guys, I actually really want to see Opti come out with horses. It would bring some new fun to the game.

We dont have any control over what the horses will do. They'll most likely just be like cows, pigs, and chickens- only coming to you if you have food. Whatever they do though is up to mojang, not us.
-
Ok, it would be awesome if people would like breed horses and sell them for profits... That woulds be fun!
-
Mojang has added Leads (rope) so that you can have horses follow you. I do not believe they will have any intention of making horses 'teleport' to you the way dogs & cats do.
-
We first need to see if they even spawn , I've tried to find one in SinglePlayer on the snapshot and it was really rare , I've concered about 10 plains and did finally see 1 , But that is on regular singleplayer.
-
The request of this is too early. The horses have only had two snapshots. Just wait a little because Mojang could already be planning that.
-
As Xeadin was saying they are adding leads, I think it will be interesting to see a horse tied up outside someone' house while someone else is visiting. I also agree its a bit early to worry about this. We don't have a definite time when 1.6 will come out. I imagine horses would be like cows or pigs.
-
I really dislike this idea, why would we have them teleport... The leads work fine

Crzy, What I was basically saying, was that if you tame a horse in the New guest world, and you live in the member world, horses can teleport to your home with you on the Member World. Now I made this suggestion, because I live in the old guest world, and I have already made a stable, and so If I tamed a horse from another world, it could teleport to you like a dog or a cat would.
-
Then just find a horse in the old guest world..
-
Sure it could be useful in some aspects... Maybe you lost Secretariat or something.
But I wouldnt want my horse teleporting inside my house.

Dogs and cats don't teleport between worlds... and I really don't want a horse teleporting with me everywhere I go.
-
It would completely defeat the purpose of /vanish.
-
For some reason, this is all going into mayhem. When you attach Horses to leads, and leads to fences, they can just stay there.

Agreed

Simple answer. DON'T tame it in Merber world! And good idea thinking In advance and making a stable already (ingenious). I should proably make one too, how tall are they supposed to be?
-
Well, i made my stable for horses and asses , so i made each cell 4x4x4x4, an one 4x5x4x5,

Minecraft needs orcarinas..... Play a song n bam! Horse.... ;D

Yes, yes, YES, YES! Actual music and not just punching blocks! :D
-
getting back on topic, i believe we should wait like a month or so more to see some more mechanics.
-
I don't think that this is possible, I have a server on the new snapshot, and when you teleport your horses dont come with you when your on them. so I doubt that the horses will ever be able to tp with you.
-
I think this is a good motivation! When Mojang fully develop horses, will it be possible to develop a bukkit plugin and get cschurz to add it? I have no knowledge of plugins but I'm just throwin' the idea out!
