opticraft is a non-pvp server, but there are items that players can use to attack other players.
such as: firecharges, arrows. both fired from dispensers. and splash potions of harming and poison.
if you think these items should be disabled, vote yes. if you dissagree vote no.

I'm against any type of Item-banning.
Any cases where people use these items as weapons are swiftly dealt with anyways. Also you posted in the wrong section.

			-
negative splash potions are disabled already.

				Moved to SMP General Discussion.
Yeah, every PvP based thing should be disabled.

			-
no, negative splash potions can still be fired from dispensers

Well, if you manage to kill someone by setting up a dispenser, while having redstone, while having harming pots, gratz to you (Until you're banned 30 seconds later).
I really don't think this is such a big issue, and I'm with Tabooti here:
I'm against any type of Item-banning.
I really think the server is fine as it is currently, we don't need everything disabled because a tiny amount of people abuse it.

^All that lol. We have enough banned items, imagine not having a bow to fight mobs, or no splash potion to heal zombie villagers

Why...the chances of a person firing an item from a dispenser and hit you and not get banned.....very little.

in my ENTIRE time on opticraft never have I seen some use a dispenser for anything but a 'fridge'

i am simply suggesting that harmful items would not be allowed to be placed in dispensers. completely banning them would be unnecessary :-\.

			-
Has this ever actually happened to you?

			-
				yes, unfortunately, many times.

			-
Well I can tell you I have been on the server for over a year and it has never happened to me, guess you just hang out with a bad crowd.

			-
no, iv'e only ben on for a few months now and already it seems to be a huge problem. >:(

			-
				By...who?

			-
				wish i knew.

			-
just heard FREE FOOD at ... went there and soon i was on fire by a fire charge out of a dispenser.

			-
Welll thats when you report it to a staff member in game.....I've played almost a year now and this is the first time I've seen this happen

Usually one fire charge won't kill you unless your nearly dead.
I'm very against banning items, I think the ones that are banned now are fine but we don't need more banned. Especially since I've never heard anyone complain about this stuff

			-
If you get killed then do
/helpop "<player name> killed me using <ammo type> shot from his dispensers."
*mod goes to where you died or to <player name> and checks things out
*sees dispenser and looks to see the firecharges (since mods+ can open any chest or dispenser)
*mod bans <player name> Reason: Killing other players.

I actually made about 6 splash potions of harming lvl 2 a while ago. I knew I couldn't use them to kill people. I planned to sell them. Well, I am for the banning of harmful items. Like tnt, you can make it but can't place, throw, etc. This is because I'm really dislike pvp.

			-
What is with you and banning items? Not mean to be rude just saying

			-
What ever happend to the pvp mode with like maps and stuff?

			-
				opticraft isnt pvp :P

WHat he is referring to is our current plans for PvP. Our current plans (on hold at the moment) are to create separate pre generated worlds and use a system to transfer anyone who has sent a kind of request in to play a PvP match. They are then teleported to the world with their inventory saved. They then play tell either 1 player or 1 team remains and then are transfered back to normal opitcraft.

To get back on topic, I recently made some splash potions of poison. I planned to use them as defense in the nether. When I realized I couldn't, I found out I had just wasted a bunch of gunpowder. Anyway, I vote for harming objects that don't affect players, just mobs.

I thought splash potions of healing hurt mobs.

I thought splash potions of healing hurt mobs.
only certain mobs

they'll probably make it to where you can no longer make TNT

			-
Explosion damage is disabled. No need to worry about tnt grief.

you haven't made it so they can't hurt themselves
i got trapped in square_skulls home as he was moving
He used for his golem but it made with fences so i couldn't get (removed my home)
then he tried using splash potions of poison against me and ended up almost killing himself
Just a bit of fun
i know him IRL
