Today I will have been with the Opticraft staff team for a year and 2 days. that was the day I was "accepted" as an operator on the classic server. Since then I have have been every staff rank possible except for admin. during this time I've made friends and maybe a few enemies but I enjoy everytime I can actually help a member with an issue. I hope some of the new staff members will stay with the community as long as i have and realize that tho it's just a game it a fun learning experience. I plan to stay as long as I can and continue to serve the community, thanks for the oppurtunity to help!

That awesome sad moment when you are not staff and have more posts than someone whos been staff for over a year.

Actually, xplo and wratkie.
And welll, it isnt sad. Ive juat been active whilst they were not
-
Actually Wratkie was always active. And who cares about post counts? Just shows how active you are on the forums. Sircy has like 28 posts.
-
I've noticed that staff members tend to have fewer posts, but a fair amount of their posts are more than the casual one-liners. Quality vs. Quantity, one might say ;)
-
Its true.
I happen to know a staff member who used to post 1 liners everywhere (sometimes just 1-word), in what seemed like raising their post count. However, they eventually slowed down with the posts. Cleaned up their act. Became more responsible and mature members of opticraft. Went on to become a staff member.
Won't point fingers who it was because that's not the point. The point is that most non-staff tend to post and participate in most threads, whereas the staff tend to just read and observe, only occasionally participating in threads (thus moderating the forums, one of the many duties of a staff member).
Also worth noting, non-staff are more likely to necropost really old threads than staff which is also a way to raise post count (don't get any ideas, kids!). Either that...or posting in places they shouldn't be posting in.
