I'm just curious: do we have a set punishment for necroposting multiple times? If not, I would suggest a one day forum ban for three necroposts in one day, then a one week if they keep necroposting. I don't think it's fair to perma-ban for necroposting, so I would say keep giving them one-week bans until they get it through their heads not to necropost.

just delete the post.
-
Constant necroposting leads to a warning and then a ban from the forums.
-
Has this been a recent issue? No, most people are simply not aware that they necropost. If they do then a member of staff will warn them.
-
You're exaggerating on this issue in which in my opinion, I don't see a big problem for this.
Just leave it for the staff to handle and remember some new/other members are unaware of what necroposting is.
-
Is necroposting posting more than once in a topic? ???

necropost ~taken from Urban Dictionary
In the context of the forums, the rootword of "necropost," which is "post," is most accurately defined as "a message published on a website." The prefix of the word, "necro-" most nearly means "dead." As such, the appropriate definition for a "necropost" (which can function as both a noun and a verb) would be "(v) the act of publishing a message on a website in a dead topic" or "(n) a message published on a website in a dead topic."
"dude... you just totally necroposted"
"lol what?"
"YOU POSTED IN A TOPIC FROM LIKE, 4 MONTHS AGO, LOLOLOLOL!"
-
Like gavin said, most people are unaware that they necropost. If it becomes evident that they are necroposting on purpose, then punishments will come into effect. To reiterate what Henz said, let the staff handle the punishment.

I know, Bantam, I was just asking. Of course warnings would be given before a ban.
By the way, I hope to become a staff member soon, so I am making sure that I am familiar with all of the rules and duties of an operator.

There is a operator forum.

Ok. We don't need to know not to let people grief. We do not need to know mods aren't allowed. I see.

Those aren't staff rules......Those are general rules. No need to get sassy.

I'd like to, so I can start operating right away if I get accepted. It's not a felony to say what rules operators are held to.
Let's keep this ontopic now.

No, because it's not meant to help anyone. It's more of an open-ended question up for discussion, which is why I posted it here.

I dont see the need for more discussion, we have already said let staff deal with it, they know what to do.
