I'm not sure if this affects all areas, but this was confirmed on the news.
At 4:00, the air/atmosphere whatever layer will be so thin, and the sun so hot that being outside will cause damage to your skin, and if you go outside you will be subject to radiation exposure.
Now I'm at Western timezone and it is 3:40 (I'm safe, don't worry) so you all should have plenty of time.
Again, I know this affects my area but I'm not sure about the others (I'm in California, so Cazual GET INSIDE!!!) so you may wanna do some research before getting hyped up.

Glad I knew this at 6Pm and I was outside a 4:00 marching for band. FOr 2 hours out there...it started at 4...

You don't notice effects of radiation until way after you are exposed.

I don't know where you heard this from, but this is just a tip. Between 10am and 4pm EVERY DAY during the summer, it's recommended that you avoid the sun. No news stories that I found for this to support it being worse today.

How is this possible? I have never, ever heard of this happening. Please give me a link to a reputable source with an article about this. From what I've heard, the Earth's magnetosphere and the ozone layer are strong enough to repel most radiation from the sun (the kind that will give you radiation poisoning). The only possible way that something like this could happen would be for a coronal mass ejection to hit the Earth edge-on when the magetic poles are at their most vulnerable points, and that would have effects similar to an EMP, not a nuclear meltdown. Perhaps I don't understand correctly, so could you send me a link?

I'm just lol'ing at the hyperbole of this situation. We're obviously never exposed to radiation, pfft.
Edit: Now that I think of it, after being outside from school, as soon as I got home, I fell asleep with a headache and woke up the next morning. .-.

Guys, I don't know if it is real or not, but I think it happened.
Yesterday, while I was at work(beach bar in 5* Resort Hotel), around to 2 pm, I got a damn bad headache and with me, another 3 people.
Now, I am ok. It was wierd, because I did nothing to make me feel sick. Further, the temprature was lower than the previous days(40-42 Celcius).
I should have checked your post before I go to work, but other than that, the time you announced is about 16 hours later, or something.

I was outside then, in the sun, was on a picnic. (For realsies) But as far as I know nothing bad happened to me. I am absolutely fin-eybtyg kjnu5be4q34vw5b5u75ew43av *spontaneously combusts*

Yes he does. He uses colour codes to produce a smooth gradient of colour. Just quote his thing and you will see how its done.
Anyway this topic has passed, it happened a long time ago (week or so) and is now getting off the main topic.
