Title: Slimeballs, pistons, and more!
Post by: Flamefirre! on June 07, 2012, 04:40:39 am
I'm on the server often, and I keep constantly hearing a buzz about items like blaze rods, or slimeballs, or sticky pistons. Items like those are kinda rare, and if this is a server of amazing creations, then shouldn't there be more items at the market? Like pistons, or sticky pistons. That would be awesome! If there were things like blaze rods, and eyes of ender, and dye, and stuff like that, we'd have a lot more! So whaddya say? Sound good?

First of all, its a survival server.
THis has been suggested 4-5 or even 6 times. I dont remember. Every week a new post like that appears(when the other is already answered and fogrotten).

Sticky pistons are rare because of the V 1.2.5 which is buggy.
Blaze rods cost 800-1000$/stack. I sell in bulk every weekend.
Pistons, are not rare. You can craft them(redstone, iron, wood, stone).
Eyes of ender, not rare at all. You can buy from the shops that players have.
Dye? I don't know what you mean here.

Yep, thats why Notch name this game mode Survival.. In smp.. You are very lucky have friends.. /home.. /tp.. Or something else like that.. If you play survival singleplayer you have no help from anything.. Except you brain..

You do have in singleplayer. TMI mod. I used it, and I lost the sense of survival. I had placed 4 pig spawners, and I made a huge room protected with obsidian and inside that, chests with stacks of everything for "special occations".
The result? The TMI mod went out of date since the next version came out these days and I returned to the survival mode.

I quit singleplayer since I play singleplayer rarely now. I prefer multiplayer.

Agreed...  I'd like to wall up the market and see the players go without it for a while.  Then see how much they complain about what's offered there.

I buy building materials from the market just to speed up construction projects.  That said, if it was gone tomorrow I wouldn't complain about it.  I'd probably just end up going back to strip mining instead of cave mining like I do now.  Might actually gain more Iron/Gold/Diamond that way.

Yeah, to be honest, (I don't wanna be considered a hypocrit or going back on my words or anything for this) I do it kinda like viper... I was just thinking it would be cool to have more items in the market, y'know?

Yea, I get where you're coming from.  I try not to use the market, but sometimes I get stuck in a "build mode" and can't stop the construction to gather materials, so the market is quick.
