About...
Just before Christmas last year I reworded the poem, Twas The Night Before Christmas (http://www.carols.org.uk/twas_the_night_before_christmas.htm) to suit Opticraft. Including players, Minecraft-related stuff and a few other things. I didn't really have time to do anything before Christmas back then, so I decided to wait untill this year to make a narrated video with the words.

Anyway, I have the poem narrated by RamKitty ready and all I need now is the footage! This is where you guys will need to help.
I need some people (not necessarily the same in each scene - we have already used doubles...) to be actors, mainly reindeers (*yay*) in a few scenes but if none of the main people are avalible at the time we might need some people to act as Nick, Relkeb and most probably optical...

Recording...
I need about 10 people to help at the same time, to be will post here the dates and times of when I will be recording next, make sure you post on this topic first so I get an idea of who is willing (and able) to help out.

Next Recording Time: TBC

Musts...
- Use the skins that I provide
- Listen to me at all times (or whoever I say to listen to)
- Be able to go onto mumble (you don't need to talk, just be able to hear me)
- Do not wander off the set
- Do not edit/modify anything
- If you are not in the scene, teleport away
- Be quiet when I tell you

Progress...
So far I have completed recording through verses 1-3 and part of the 4th verse. I will need help to record some of the next few verses after I have worked out some better stage directions.

Thanks...
- ramkitty
- raul7legend
- aveilon
- arsenic_shark
- 2crzy4uall
- xDeeKay

Other...
(click to show/hide)

I want the final thing to be a supprise so I will not be showing anyone the footage or audio so far... (except RamKitty) If you have already heard it, do not spoil it for the rest of the people by showing them.

I hope you guys can help out, I will need about 10 people and some extras at a time. Please post below if you are intrested, or have questions. I will most probably be recording on Saturday afternoons or Sundays

Hmm... I will have to see where we could put in some music. The poem doesn't really work with music so might be a bit difficult. Will see what I can do though :P

I've heard ram recite it on mumble before XD.

Not sure if I can play a particular role or anything but I'm sure I'll have plenty of time during winter break. :P

I mean I could put together some nice "The Night Before Christmas" background music, I can also just be an extra or "actor" if you need.

Mmm if you have any free time see what you can do, it is not necessary but you can do it if you want.

Obviously this is completed now, seen on the Opticraft Channel (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZx60BLKyrM) and my channel (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dN1Vk06pvr0).
Glad you guys enjoyed it, and the lyrics if anyone wanted them are as follows;

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the server,
Not a griefer was griefing, no players getting murdered,
The chests were placed above the netherrack with care,
In hopes that Nick3306 soon would be there.

Arsenic and ram were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of cows being slaughtered spun 'round their heads,
Dadda Relkeb with his helium, and I with his cat,
Had just settled our heads for a long winter's nap.

When out of the spawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a ghast,
Punched at the window and broke away the glass.

The torchlight on the layer of newly generated snow,
Gave the impression of day to the blocks below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniture minecart and eight tiny reindeer.

With a fresh young driver, so lively and quick,
I knew straight away it must be Nick.
More rapid than endermen his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted and called them by name!

"Now Opti! Now dedly! Now, Raul-seven and bantam!
On, DeeKay! On Redchecks! On, on billy and Logan!
To the top of the buildings! To the top of the walls!
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!"

As leaf blocks that before the hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky.
So up to the house-top the coursers they flew.
With the cart full of Diamonds, and Nick3306 too.

And then, in an explosion, I heard on the roof,
The sound of footsteps passing by hoofs.
As I drew in my head, and was turning right,
Through the debris Nick3306 came with a fright.

He was dressed all in pixels, from his head to his toe,
And his clothes were all spotless - it sure did show.
A bundle of diamonds he flung on his back,
And he looked all around, found some milk and a cat.

His eyes-how they twinkled! His dimples how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a berry!
His small little smile was drawn up like a bow,
And the beard of his chin was as white as snow.

The bright warm looking hat he wore on his head,
The colours so vibrant - lava red.
He had a square face, and also square belly,
It shook when he laughed, like a bowlfull of jelly.

He was blocky and jumped, a right jolly old elf,
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself!
A jump in the air, and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.

He spoke not a word, but went sraight to his work,
And filled all chests, then turned with a jerk.
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose!

He sprang to his minecart, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like a TNT pistol.
But I heard him shout, as he flew out of sight,
"Happy Christmas young Opticrafters, and to all a good-night!"
