when i was connecting to the beta opticraft server, it said i was banned.
i want to know why?

I found large amounts of grief by you in the nether spawn, including lots of cobblestone and most of the glowstone that was there.

Cobble I can accept, but any glowstone could have occured naturally, so he thought it was not grief?

i don't remember taking any glowstone at spawn, if i did I'm sure it was an accident
and there was like stairs made from cobblestone that wasn't even, i destroyed some to get up, to make them even. i don't think i did large amounts of grief and i didn't know that was griefing just by doing that. especially when them ghasts come after you i like panic and might of took 1 or 2 blocks thats it by mistake. i hope you can unban me i enjoying playing the beta.

With the amount of grief there was, there is no way it was an accident.

Nick, if what you are saying is that an Operator on classic considers it ok to grief, then this is a very serious issue...

Excuse my ignorance, but are you in a house? Sorry but my computer screen is small, and its hard to tell.
But me and skull have been getting neatherrack for burning, and glowstone to light up a house.( not as in on fire). We have been getting it from the roof of the neather. I understand that I am not a SMP operator, but I just wanted to say this.

I disagree. On the few times I have visited the nether, the land is littered with cobble block spam.

that's an actual house though.. i've fixed it for someone countless times, it also has all the features a house would, table, chairs, furnace, doors etc etc (if they havn't been griefed at the time.

i went to the nether very often, even when it was in 1.73...i saw at first the spawn was just a cobble stone box house with a crafting table, and davioo had a house beside it....then shadowsin tore the box down and turnit into his house, and the ground was chequed, alternating cobble stone and furnaces, theres also a trap door attached to a glowstone which leads to shadowsin PRIVATE stores...i noticed ppl grief the side often to bypass the trapdoor..now, the house have many holes in it.....xD..imo the nether spawn should be zoned it looks very ugly now xP ... and u cant tell whether the glowstone is naturally spawning or placed by someone.... word of advice to anyone building in nether, DONT USE GLOWSTONES(cause ppl mix em up with regulary spawning ones).. xD

I agree, plus when i was attacked the way it is was hard to escape, which i wasn't able to do. maybe a small spawn area would do.

the only mob there is pig zombies (common) if u dont atk them, they wont hit u(however if a guy near u atks them, they will atk u and everyone. and Ghast (uncommon) flying around and shooting fire balls

Well, we can't have you as a classic op anymore if you are a griefer. You haven't provided an explanation, and there is no proof.
Classic op status suspended.

As an operator you should prevent griefers not to be one of them.

....lol i suppose he feels that skull's issue is very serious..
just to add in... i belief the house was originally made by opticalza, cause it cobble stone square house, there was a road connecting it to davioo house.
Now davioo house has been seriously griefed, so is the road. the old cobble stone house created by opticalza was probaly griefed too and so shadowsin removed that house and placed his own house there.
(opticalza set the spawn at his square cobblestone house, when i typed /spawn i appeared in Shadowsin house hence i deduced that shadowsin probaly unintentionaly griefed)
Now the entire nether /spawn is like a warzone, u cant really differentiate the glow stone which spawns naturally from the one that another player put.
and skull u should seriously give an explantion for mining out the cobble stones from the nether spawn......
i feel maybe he should be given a second chance, cause since when an op would grief intentionally xD( this is all imo)

As far as I can see, people are still skirting around the point. This grief was exactly like Shadow's, if what D00M says is true. Why should he not clear a path out of a totally griefed house.
Also, Nick, how many people have changed that house? Are they all banned?

Don't get me wrong, as much as i love you guys telling us how to do our jobs, we know what we are doing.

Nick has a point. The more we lumber around a ban appeal, the more it's gonna bog down on the actual verdict. Operators on Classic deal with Classic appeals, whilst Operators on SMP deal with SMP appeals. We can intermingle with one another, but we cannot get to the point where discussions or arguments break out within appeals. An appeal is there for a reason-- use the space wisely.

think about it why would i grief and take a risk of being banned and demoted just for a couple of blocks some cobble and glowstone. I'm an op or should i say was, why would i do that. i can easily find cobblestone and i already have tons of glowstone you can even ask lucho019 i gave it to him.

Relkeb said his operator status was suspended, doesn't that mean he will get it back sooner or later?
