Some mods tells me that I may only speak english and some say I may speák whatever language I want. Its very confusing, so now I ask you guys... Is it because that rule exists on classic and not on SMP or does it exist on SMP?
-
There is no rule to what language you can or cannot speak.
-
We would prefer you speak English in the public chat, in private chat you can speak whatever language you want.

If it does happen, repeatedly after a nice reminder, would a kick be reasonable?
-
I would think so because they weren't following what we were saying.
-
Okay, so only English in chat right?
-
ya. Unless you private message someone, then you may freely speak a different language.
The reason you can't speak other languages in public chat is most likely because mods and other players cannot understand you and as far as they know, it could be spam. Not everyone can speak english well but the server is english-based. If i could translate everything someone says and find that they cannot speak english well and need help, I'd love to help. Unfortunately, this is really hard :(.

Too bad there no translator plugins :/
-
Yeah, if there was a translator plugin but in the meantime, I have to use google translate.
The two most common languages used on this server is English (obviously) and Swedish
-
Ive seen spanish and filipino used on classic before too :P
Unfortunately google translate isnt that good, my girlfriend verified it by confirming
The filipino translation was incorrect, and ive had vietnamese friends unable to understand
It at all before too.

LOL!!!
Send a feedback to Google for their crap..:P
