*UPDATE* Server is now online on 1.2

Hi guys,

As you all know, 1.2 is out. If you wish to continue to play on opticraft, do not update right now. I will be working hard in updating the server today, and it should be ready within the next 6-8 hours. Until then, stick to 1.1 :).

Secondly, the vote sites have all reset as it is a new month. As a result, our top voters has also reset. So get voting if you want to receive the prize this month! :). We will be making a new post about what the rewards are in the next day, once we've sorted out the 1.2 update.

Keep up the voting!

*EDIT*
For the time being, do not build in the nether. We are currently having issues with the nether world reset and will be attempting to revert the changes.

You do a great job to keep us happy Optical! Thanks for all the time you spent getting this done as soon as you could. Personally the wait wasn't a problem for me I haven't updated yet, but i know some have. Keep up the good work, we all appreciate it!

Just noting that it is busy converting our world. Will post when more progress has been made.

This does not mean you should update yet. If there are any issues, we will fall back to 1.1.

I accidently updated thos sucks I wanna play on my favorite server. Well now I can only wait for the server to be updated. :o >:( ;)

Its updating right now...but like Opti said, there might be a problem.

Status update: Conversion finished, but ramdisk needs expanding.
Working on expanding the ramdisk, and rewriting the blockhat plugin (its outdated).

I suspect mobdisguises will not work on update, but this needs confirming.
Also updated numerous other plugins, but much testing is still required.

Can't really give a reliable ETA at this time.

if you can't update the blockhat plugin, I know that there is another plugin called Head blocks

For what it is worth, I say just let it ride. Do your thing nice and slow, make sure it meets your expectations, and anyone who disagrees had better have a solution, or else they are part of the problem.

Yup. Slow and steady. Or else Opticraft will end up like this one completly got an unreversible greif. But still, Opticraft is always a great server.

I take it we can still use mob farms for farming xp? (I know it produces lots of rotten flesh/bones/string, but most all of them are basically useless.)[/list]

On the Xtreme top 100 voting site, Opticraft is listed as "Opticraft SMP 12" rather than "Opticraft SMP 1.2".
I'm gonna be a lot more aggressive in my voting this month, so watch out people ;)

Out of curiousity, if for example the voting ends up this month as:
1-MrMonkey
2-claw
3- Mr
4-YM

Even though I wasn't in the top three, would I still get the [Top Voter] title (not the money for rewards, just the title) since MrMonkey has already gotten it? Basically, would you give the title to the top three voters who don't already have it, and then still give the 30-10 donation reward money to the top three regardless of whether they've won before?
