Here it is guys, Opticraft Creative! Use the above IP to connect to the server - it is now open to everyone. As Nick said, the server has many things which make it similar to Classic, even down the the small things such as join and change world messages (which can be toggled as in Classic with /togglenotifications).
Start in the Guest world and build your way up through the ranks of Guest, Recruit, Builder and if you are skilled enough, Crafter! Remember each rank gets progressively harder, check the /ranks ingame for information.
Each rank has their own world accessible with /j <world> or by walking through the portals in the Lobby. Hopefully you will all enjoy the server as much as Classic and show once again how much talent the people of Opticraft hold! I'm hoping that we will be able to have frequent events once we've got going to keep things interesting and fresh.
Finally, thanks to everyone who helped and forum sections and more are on their way. Enjoy!

The Creative server doesn't have the same capacity as the SMP server, and it's also running a lot more worlds than SMP has. This means certain things such as redstone are disabled due to lag issues which could arise. Not to mention players are given an infinite amount of blocks, which makes such contraptions even easier to produce. Redstone is available to builder ranks however, so that could be something to work towards!

I haven't been on yet but plan to. This question might already have been answered but as a non-classic player how are the ranks earned? If this has already been answered somewhere let me know where I can find it.

Guest - You get when you join
Recruit - Build something, show an Operator
Builder - Build lots of things, apply on the forum
Crafter - Build lots and lots and lots of things, get permission from admin, apply on the forum
Operator - Apply on the forum
Admin - I'm sure you'll figure it out when you get there ;)

They'll get their own world to build in, but I doubt they'll get a personal donation world for free.

As Mr said, they wont get a personal world, plenty of space in Crafter though.

You get to the ability to spawn non vanilla blocks with crafter as well tp though, both of those go under the category of donations.
I don't see the point in saying that that specifically is a donation perk while most rank perks can be bought via donations minus the world access and obvious name change.
Though I do agree that it isn't necessary to give them individual worlds as they could probably do more in the crafter world. As it is larger by default than the donation sized worlds
