Title: Redstone Confusion
Post by: whatmyname on April 12, 2014, 04:22:12 pm
In one of my single player worlds I am making a house and in part of the house I am making a hot tub. However I want it so when you press a button, dispensers activate and pour lava out. I can't seem to activate dispensers from the bottom using redstone dust and I think a redstone torch inverter will take up too much room. Here are some screenshots to see what you're dealing with if you want to undertake this challenge.

Yeah, redstone dust alone can't power something from underneath. There's really no easy way to power that many dispensers without it being clumpy. You can send power to a block under the dispensers or something.
I'm no restone genius, so maybe someone else can help you out.

You could always get the redpower mod?

If you can spare 2 blocks down, I have a design that will work perfectly for you. Just made it in creative, and it works like a charm.

You should be able to fix it with redstone torch towers below, just use inverted towers and then repeaters facing into them at different levels.  Or you could use command blocks for wireless redstone.
