Before I start I will say that many people will not like this idea because it means less money. On the other hand, it hopefully will eliminate players from receiving too much money and essentially being in creative mode.

The Problems We're Facing:

1)People are getting too much money so now they can play as if it were creative mode

2)There is an unlimited supply of money to be passed around

3)Other issues like the value of money is going down...etc.

The Problems With Our Current Solution:
Melons were changed from $960 Dollars per stack to $480 dollars per stack in the market. This is not a very good solution because I know people that before this change had made over 1,000,000 dollars just from melons. Now they will just make 500,000 which is still a lot of money.

My Suggestions:

1)Have a limited amount of money to be passed around. This will fix the issue of everybody getting tons and tons of money. I suggest maybe 30 million dollars (You guys decide the amount). I know there is already $70 million out there, but my next suggestion will solve that. (Sorry Wratkie...You won't like it  )

2)Create a 10% tax on all transactions that will go to the "Market's Money" (All the money that the market has from transactions). This money will be used to sell stuff in the market. Here is an example of what I am talking about:

I want to buy 1 iron from Trodden for 100 dollars. I pay Trodden 100 dollars, and then 10 dollars is sent to the "Market Money" to be used in Market Transactions. So in the end, I payed Trodden 100 and the market 10.

To fix the issue of 70 million dollars out there we can do a few different things:

1)Have a straight out tax of 50% of everybody's money and make sure no more money is put into circulation
 
2)Put 7% of the tax into the "Market Money" and 3% is taken out of circulation (This will be longer and less efficient)

 The current system is not a good permanent one (No offense Nick and Relkeb  . Take into consideration I'm just 13 years old so these ideas may seem a bit crude, but be my guest to change it in any way you like. I am going to lock this topic to prevent miscellaneous people from commenting on it as I only want Staff to post their ideas (No offense miscellaneous people, I'm one of you guys  ). I hope you take this idea into consideration.

Why Should You Become A Moderator?: I think I should become a Moderator because I would like to help the server. Since joining Minecraft the only server I have played on is Opticraft, and I plan to keep it that way. I like to help people in need for whatever reason (Grief, Water, Portals lit), but as a trusted my powers are limited. Hey Everybody,

Yesterday I purchased a Lapis PS to protect a plot for a friend in Enderpolis. However, when I placed the protection stone it did not work because another player could break inside the fields. I notified my friend/mod Troddenostrich and he tried to help, but said it was beyond his ability. Then I asked Xeadin to come help me. In the end, he figured out that when i place the PS it doesn't work and that when he does it works  . Is there a reason for this? Also, I've noticed that when I do /ps it only shows one command and when I try the others it says insufficient permission or something like that.

Update: How come you can't sell protection stones in the market now?

I just became trusted about 10 minutes ago, and I want to thank everybody who helped me get to where I am. I think Opticraft is the GREATEST SERVER EVER!!!, and I will do whatever I can in my power to help it grow. Thanks Everybody

I just recently fractured my thumb playing soccer  ...Mt doctor says I should avoid playing any video games for 4 WEEKS!!!!! I will still try my best to play, but I want to make sure my thumb heals right as it is my dominant hand. I will still try to be active on the forums though.

Hi Everyone,

I just have a few suggestions to make the server better:

1. /afk doesn't work, but I understand why...however I enjoyed this addition so if there is a way to implement it with all the new people it would be great

2. /online doesn't work well because I can't see half the people online because there are too many people online...

3. A way to /msg somebody where it won't be swamped out by other people chatting

I was on today for about 3 hours and I witnessed/got griefed at least 4 times and 2 of those times there weren't mods on to help me. As we have all noticed there was a huge spike in users this weekend (From 70 to 200 players) and the amount of mods hasn't changed. I think you guys should really be looking for more mods to make sure that the server is grief-free.
