Ingame name: MikeWeirauchJoin date: I joined Smp on April 11, 2012. I joined Creative during the Beginning of December Briefly describe all your creations:I have my Guest to recruit builds which are as follows: Quartz temple with a fountain in the center (Guest6) And a small to medium size house connected by path to the temple (Guest6) My Application building is a Building made up of Stone and similar materials that I hope to turn into something much bigger (Just short on space in the world I am in.) Its Just under maximum height and roughly 150k blocks with almost no finished interior. The reason for the unfinished interior is I have plans for a large amount of redstone to incorporate into the designs on the inside and outside and I don't want to proceed to far just to rip out large amounts of finish work for the redstone to be done right. There is also A chunk of the top building that needs t be built after redstone is something I have access to. Number of completed, decorated and furnished buildings: The entire thing is a building, but it is unfinished. Inside of the Ziggurat, there will be 5 fractal crescents at 5 different points on the y axis, each with a farm/house/theme.
What state is the project in, and what are your plans for its future, if any: The compass point terraces are partially complete, and I plan to build the inside at the same time as the outside, in cycles. Natural light for building the interior is the motive to finish the quarter circle perimeter last. Otherwise I'd need to constantly place torches while building.
The home setpoint is at the top middle of the build, with a safe fall nearby, direcly underneath Sircy's massive skull build. The safe fall goes to either sea level or bedrock, depending. Each crescent will have a landing pad for a safe fall from above.
The bottom will be inlaid redstone lamps in the shape of the nuke hazard sign, and accessible from each crescent by dropping down from above, toward the inner pentagram. The hazard sign layer will be at Y axis 20, which also serves as the roof of the catacombs. The catacombs are pillars supporting a roof of stone slabs, serving as the foundation. It is the "vault" area of the build, accessible via safefall.
Why should we grant this project protection?
-It will be fantastic when finished, but a single block of grief could cause deaths while building.
-It will be incredibly detailed - I'm building it as a work of art. The art of other players is also present already, such as Sircy.
-There are many transcription "blocks" used as center points for the circles of the crescents that are tedious to place and audit for accuracy.
-It would prevent future disputes due to anyone building within the area.
I also plan to host a design competition for parts of the exterior. I will frame a "slab" of the ziggurat in each quadrant, which will look like a massive cube of nether brick extruding from the wall. The NWSE compass point sides will be blank canvasses for a design competition, using specified building materials(Sandstone/NetherBrick+Fence+Steps/Glowstone/Glass). The winner will earn ownership of a crescent, and can rent it out as he/she wishes, or live in it.

Hello ladies and gentleman of OptiCraft.
As you can see from above post my name is Michael Weirauch (in game name MikeWeirauch).
I have decided to hold a a small competition that as of this moment I am calling the OptiCraft Team Mega Build-Off
The idea is simple. there will be a set number of platforms on the ocean. Each will be 400x200 blocks of flat grass/dirt. Depending on how many teams sign up I will build platforms to suite. The teams will be be composed of three people. The competition will be performed in three stages. Stage one is the gathering stage which will b two weeks long. In these two weeks You and your team will have access to a small area off the side of your building platform to store materials you gather for the following build. Stage two will be the construction stage of the build, You and your team will have three weeks to build a wowifying (<--- Look a new word has appeared!!!) building, sculpture, landmass, whatever you want. Stage three will be the viewing and voting stage. The good people of OptiCraft will have one week to explore and view your magnificent creations and cast the vote for who is the favorite.
So, Lets recap what we just read and learn some more.
Three Stage Competition
Stage One: The gathering stage, Duration of two weeks.
Stage Two: The building stage, Duration of three weeks.
Stage Three: The viewing and voting stage, Duration of one week.
Rules!
Rule One The first two stages must be completed by the three team members only
Rule Two Only Team members allowed on designated platform during competition (Other then Mods, Ops, Admins, Optical, and myself. (Unless i compete. Then I shall play fair))
Rule Three Build must remain within limits of the X and Z border, as far as Y goes I couldn't care less.
Team Registration
To sign up for the competition I need a few things. They are as follows: Team members, a few pictures of each members builds, and that's all!
NOTE
Please only sign up if you are willing to put a good amount of effort into this project. I want to start a quarterly type game like this as an opportunity to do something fun and friendly to get us all to know one another. That being said I want this to remain friendly and fun for all who participate. I will work on getting protection for the areas you all are going to put your heart and soul into. I also encourage you to step outside your boundaries of friends and reach out to someone you don't know to meet new people during the game.

Why you should become a moderator?: I believe I would make a good moderator for quite a few reasons. First and foremost I do enjoy helping people, I am always there for people who request help of me, or anyone in the general chat. It may not be noticed by most moderators and other server watchers due to the reason that when i do respond to help, I always do it in a private message (its more personal that way). Since i have become trusted I have placed over 40+ waters for people. I am usually beat to the punch by a moderator tho.
My playtime on Minecraft is random to say the least, but quite impressive (in my opinion) if you total up the hours i have spent on the server since my join date. I am usually playing weeknights and late late weekends. Occasionally ill jump on before work in the morning.
I believe I work well under pressure, which I have seen is part of being a moderator on this server. I have seen how rough it is on your gentlemen and ladies who keep the flow of Opticraft at its highest and most rhythmic. I believe That there is a logical and cool headed approach to any situation. View both sides of the issue at hand, make a decision, hand out consequences. And if i ever feel uncertain about my conclusions, I have no problem asking for assistance from a more well educated staff member.
Now for the personal level, I am not a harsh person, for the most part I am quite easy to get along with as far as I know. I treat others well, I don't take from others, I have a clean ban record. I have gone out of my way to make sure I abide by every rule, and I believe that says something. I vow to NEVER abuse my power. That is, in my opinion, the very worst thing a moderator could do. I do not claim to be the best. I do not claim I ever will be. But i will do everything in my power to be a helpful and awesome addition the the staff.
A side note: If you, the person reading this, would be so kind as to give a few reasons why you support, or don't support my application I would greatly appreciate that. I wont respond right away to ever comment. But be sure your thoughts have been read.

Hello wonderful people of opticraft.
I have decided to try on something that I don't believe has happened on this server. I often see projects and creations by people requesting donations and items.
I am going to create a large warehouse where people with extra things they don't need can drop everything off and i will sort out whats donated and put them into organized chests for projects and creations. It will be a community warehouse with some guidelines.
I WILL NOT BENEFIT FROM THIS AT ALL
IT WILL BE AN HONEST PROGRAM
So if you want to donate please feel free to hit me up. There will be drop boxes at my home set that you may deposit items into as I am setting up the warehouse. Please no stealing!!

Hello, as I was reading through the ban appeals as I do once or twice every day, a thought came to me. I was thinking about how the member world is designed to help stop a very large bulk of the grief that happens on the non member server/world. It might be helpful to screen who gets into the member world a little bit more then just who has joined the forums. My thoughts are add a few more stipulations to the list before anyone can join the new world. Here are some examples Time On Server- This would be something like, You must have played 10 hours in game time before you are allowed to join the new member only world. Votes- You must have voted for opticraft 10 times before you are allowed to join the new member only world. Forum Posts- You must have posted at least 3 legitimate threads. And by this i mean post that are useful and or interesting. Not just some "LOL Good Idea" Ban Record- This one might be difficult. But I think a ban record should be taken into account. If a member has 2 grief bans on his record within 3 weeks he or she might try it again in the member world. I have no idea how difficult this would be to implement. But a way to filter who is and is not allowed into the new member world could be something along the lines of a new rank, possibly Member+Please feel free to comment on if you think this is a idea is: good, bad, wonderful, terrible, amazing, hellish, stupid, genius, anything at all. And also please add any ideas you may have, or changes you think might help Thank you all very much -MDW- <--Newly Trusted Member!!
