Then why do we have channels in mumble for "Diablo III", "TF2", "Starcraft II", etc.? They don't affect where people will go when they DO get on minecraft, so it's not really considered advertising. It could be to a certain extent.

Its in offtopic and has nothing to do with minecraft. A lot of people use steam here, that's why the post was made.

Sorry Nick, I should have been more clear. I meant to say that everyone who was discussing advertising should do it in my thread. I didn't mean to merge this thread and the advertising thread.

This is in off-topic. A lot of people have Steam. I see no reason for this to bring such alarm.
If it really was a problem, it would've been addressed beforehand.

Just buyed some Steam games that I wanted.
Left 4 Dead 2, Choplifter HD (and all of the DLC), Terraria, Ys Orgin, and Ys: The Oath in Felghana.

I spawned in, went for a swim, not realising I would loose everything after it floated away, then I got captured and executed by some gang talking over the voice chat, -_-

kudos to steam, it saved me alot $$$ and effort lol
