I would like to propose the idea of a new rank, Senior Trusted. This rank would be the same as trusted, except they can place fire and lava. Lava could be placed using buckets, and fire with flint and steel, or fire charges. The rank would be hand chosen by Admins, no application. If you would like to change anything about this, please do, this is just an idea.

For fun I checked my ban history on the site, and it said Zen00 had banned me while I was on vacation for grief. I know I didnt grief, so could I see proof of this? Maybe he meant another Chip? Well thanks.

Why you should become a moderator: I want to stop griefers, spammers, and anything else that has a negative effect on Opticraft. I'm already familiar with a lot of the commands and procedures because I'm friends with many mods. I really want to be able to help the community more. I'm on about 4-8 hours each day and love helping people with anything. I hope to join the team and start helping!

There could be a channel where people can ask for water placement, and only trusted+ would be able to see this. Hopefully this could clear the mods up for some larger tasks. Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Why you should become a moderator: I've been on the server for a very long time. I think I have shown a lot of dedication to this server and wish to serve it better. I love helping people with their problems, and I'm familiar with some of the commands since I have been Operator on another server. I get on in the mornings for about 30-45 minutes before school and try to help out and say hi. I'm on about 4 hours school, and soon to be much more once summer hits. When school ends, there will be a big increase in traffic and I hope that I will be able to help with that. I always like to be friendly. Also, many people know me on Mumble and I'm on there a lot. I hope to join the team and fight the griefers! Thanks for your consideration!

I think there should be a list of Authorized Sellers, or people who you can trust to buy items from. This would decrease the amount of "Jimmy took my diamonds and didn't pay me!", topics that are constantly showing up. Also there could be a list of people who have previously done this so people can have an idea of who to trust. I don't think these people should get privileges other than their current rank. I think that more info should be shown on the responsibilities that a moderator must fulfill. It would be great to be able to see some stuff about it so maybe don't know what expected and not expected before you become moderator see we don't have as many people that apply, but aren't willing the make the commitment. Just some small info like what you can and cant do with the powers provided. I've looked on the forums, and I haven't found anything that describes that duties in a little more detail than that you'll be dealing with grief and offensive players. I don't think this truly shows the commitment it takes(I'm not a mod, so don't be mad if I'm incorrect in some manners), to be a mod. I would hope this would be implemented in some way before Mod Apps open again(Which shouldn't be for a while). Thanks for taking the time to read my suggestion. ~Chipaton

Were you recommended by anyone?: Yes, Xeadin Troddenostrich, Ianhalmond, hutchinske Why you should become a moderator?: I have been playing Minecraft since Beta 1.2 which was January of 2011, so I know how the game works and feels. I never turn down anyone who needs water placement as a Trusted. I dont like it when people grief or spam, though destroying one block should not result in a ban. I ask a lot of questions, but that also means I can answer more questions. When people become a moderator they often forget that Minecraft is supposed to be fun, not to be stressed about bans and such. I hope to remain a helpful player, yet one who is not worried about being bogged down about what is going on with the server. I'm also on about 6-8 hours a day, more on the weekends. I think I was banned or kicked on the classic server along time ago. That was when I first started a free account and had no idea what to do. In fact I'm not even sure if it was this server or not. thanks for your consideration
