Simple concept. Pay $5-10 for access to build in a world for those who donate. Would also be nice if it had the amplified biome. Maybe expand by like 100 or so blocks after an update? I can guarantee this would bring in a nice cash flow, and doesnt seem that hard to code.

Sounds good to me.
-
Same to me =)

I like this idea. alot. I don't see any negative outcome.
-
Sounds good, I would like this, but surely only after 1.7, so donators could have access to the new biomes. In addition, the price would probably have to be more like $15-$25, because otherwise it would just turn out to be another Member world.
-
I can see how this would work, but I personally don't like the idea of segregating players based off rank or how much they donate. The server has already split Guests from Members.
-
If this every got implemeted I would suggest not making it 1.7 because 1.7 is Very hard on your computer. And alot of players do not have great computers.

I wouldn't pay for it if it wasn't 1.7.

That's because it's only a snapshot right now. Snapshots and the first releases are slow.

Oh, Okay. Learn something new everyday. =p

Wait it's in MInecraft Dev?

Facedesking because a face palm is just not enough.... :)

You're facedesking because of what you said?

Can you not figure out what dev is short for? ._.

Well if you are going to suggest a new world you need to have some ideas as to what will make the world different. Just separating our donors from our non donors isn't enough and it's not exactly a good idea.

I believe it was mentioned, it could have the amplified world type in the new snapshot.

Yes i did, but a different biome is hardly enough to warrant a new world.

Amplified is a different world generation, not just a biome. I've played on it, I love it. I'm sure that along with not having any griefers, this is an appealing idea. I also through out expanding the borders more often, with updates, so that people can use some of the new things that spawn.

I like the idea of doing this because the amplified world type makes it exciting

I would be willing to pay for this, as would roscoepwns, we love the idea

This is my new face___
I doubt I would do it, but that's mainly because I refuse to leave the og world. Other than that it seems like a cool idea. Make it so anyone can visit but only those who donated for it can actually do anything ( no killing mobs, building, breaking, etc.)

Well couldn't this be done like it was on classic? Three world sizes 64x64, 256x256 and 512x512 and each "world" would have its own borders (which could be set up using worldguard) where the donater for the world could add whoever they pleased to the zone (Again using world guard).

Smp worlds are hugely bigger in memory than classic, and while I'm not sure how the opticraft plugin works, I doubt it auto-unloads worlds, leading to more lag.
One big, special donor world is a better idea, in my opinion.

All this would do is split our already shrinking player base.

What about the metropolis world? The member world?

The member world is not as exclusive since anyone can become a memebr for free. Metropolis is just a project world that really isnt even being worked on all that much anymore. Neither one of those are the same as a donor world would be.
-
What is metropolis?
-
Nick's city.
-
Really we're just splitting all of our players into different worlds. We have like 10 regularly playing people in the old guest world, maybe 50 regularly playing people in the new guest world, and 30 players that regularly play in the member world. With another world the numbers will get even more divided. Remember this is a server not a place to have everyone in their own world. I don't really think the donating world has any thing positive in the long term other than extra money for the server.
-
But more money for the server the better it can be with upgrades and all that fun stuff
