I looked on my brothers computer and saw that he didn't have the system idle process. Is it normal or no.
-
system idle process is a form of power saving used by CPU's. It should only be doing that when your CPU is not working very hard.
-
Oh, is that why it's so high? o.O
-
yes, it is common for the system idle process to take up to 95% of CPU usage.
-
I had that once

MR if u look at the bottom of the window you see the total cpu that is used at the moment (17%)
the thing you marked is merly the percent the program uses of that 17%
so actualy it's only using 14.28% of your cpu.

Yeah I use %17 CPU to run minecraft and it STILL lags... I swear to god it's my processor, it's an intel core i3 processor.

i say it's your video card, you know why?
because CPU stands for Central Processing Unit, in other words your processor. it can't be your processor if you only use 17% of it....

If you are only using 17% of your CPU to run minecraft something may be wrong. Mine runs anywhere from 30%-55% if i am loading a new area.
Also, Task manager is not very efficient at measuring CPU usage but it is close enough.
