Title: Shoutbox!
Post by: Afro_ on August 05, 2013, 08:23:43 am: So there are people who talk lots in forums and spam up posts, so why not have a shoutbox as seen here: http://www.simpleportal.net/ - the 3rd thing on the right if you scroll down.
Although there is PM Shotbox would be easier to use in my opinion...

So why not give it a try?

What if users paste malicous links and all, or start to clutter up the chat with spam, you wouldn't want that. Besides that, it would require more moderation on the forums, which I can guarantee that the staff aren't on here 24/7.

Players can still get banned, and therefore it would be like having a new world just for chatting... If you get what I mean.

Chief has the best idea. All it needs is a shout ox where only forum users can write on it and that's that. Nothing fancy like shout box moderators or anything.

Lol, yeah. It would make it easier, but even users still might uh... OK I forget the word but they might... take advantage of their "power".

So why not give it a try for a few days and see how it goes?

But this forum is related to the server... whats there to discuss on forums that can't be discussed on IRC or in-game?

instead of going in a website etcetera login etcetera just go on opticraft.net and chat away. It'd be much easier.
Dude how easier can it get? Just be happy with what you have and stop being lazy. It takes like a minute to connect to IRC.
