Thanks for your efforts in restoring things opti, we all appreciate it greatly. It's a shame this happened but hopefully the site can make a full recovery!

A gui for the whole thing could be cool, giving players a visual interface to work with rather than only using commands.

General Discussion / Re: IMPORTANT! Books with Hacked Clients
« on: May 25, 2015, 03:35:47 am »
Interesting, I've read some more on this exploit, and it appears to work by creating a book with 'invisible' JSON content, usually in the form of a link, like you said. I'm looking into ways to counter this, besides the obvious "don't click suspicious links in books" thing.

Any idea what the book will look like, like what will be written in them?

Suggestions / Re: New(?) world

In my opinion, this would cause more problems than it would fix. There would be people upset about losing their things.
I'm in favor of removing worlds and starting things fresh, but adding a new world is just fixing the problem with another problem.

Suggestions / Re: Stats idea for creative
« on: May 09, 2015, 06:00:14 pm »
This was brought up when the stats were first implemented, however it was ultimately turned down because we wanted to draw a line between what's a practical statistic to keep track of and what isn't, and we felt ranks weren't.

That's not to say it can't still happen, that was just the verdict at the time. An admin is more than welcome to provide their input.

Suggestions / Re: Builder Ranks -Creative
« on: April 18, 2015, 05:43:00 pm »
The opticraft server isn't about ranking up and never has been, which is what makes it different from so many other servers. Our creative server is about building and being part of the community, ranks are just a perk, a side note.
This, so much this.

I can look at it from yours and others point of view and understand what you're saying. But like Loaf has put it, every server Opticraft has run whether it be past or present has never been about ranks and how fast you can climb them, it's been about the community as a collective. If anyone ever sees Opticraft as a "rank first, get to know people later" community, then they're probably in the wrong place I'm afraid.

Ban Appeals / Re: Unfairness
« on: April 12, 2015, 07:01:04 am »
I went ahead and read it again like you suggested, but like I suspected, it's exactly what I read before. You bring no evidence to your claims besides a screenshot of your ban, which has no sort of advantage for your case.

I'd suggest you own up to your misdoings and move on. From what I see, you clearly lashed out in a situation that didn't warrant it, and if you keep posts like these going, don't be surprised if your ban gets extended.

You can't sit there and say there's no proof his side of the story is correct, but then not provide any proof for yours. That's what separates his story from yours, and what makes Raul's side of the story more believable. It's got nothing to do with ranks, rather your inability to back up your claims.
