Today we found out a joker had build a building arround the portal in the nether and locked the doors.
This made us sad panda's :'(
Please do not do this, it will be marked as griefing.
I've placed a sign for the guy who did that to let him know its not allowed,
by now also you should know, dont do this it might lead into a permanent ban.

Its fine, we'll catch that nasty person who did it, and make you happy pandas, so you can get back to your bamboo :)

it was actualy in the nether, also he destroyed surrounding portals and used the outgoing portal with a protection stone from a public place. so people would get trapped and were forced to use /spawn and /home

I have a portal which is protected, cause I made it beside my blaze exp farm.. Does that count?

Wait, I'm slightly confused. I get that it isn't ok to block the main portal near spawn off, but is it ok to block one off that only 4 people on the server use, as we have things there (Xeadin, ZXFEAR, Terrewee and me).

The town you mean? Me and famous use that one. Course, I can still get out, but famous cant.

To make it more clear.
People make own portals, they jump in it and get trapped and cannot enter the nether it self, if you place a portal, place it outside in the nether, not within locked doors, its very frustrating.

Why not just destroy the blocks next to the door? That's how greifers get into my other house all the time.

I'm trapped behind a locked door in a strange nether portal. Please help!

It would be because the nether portal you created linked to another portal in the nether. If I remember correctly it is illegal to have a door on nether portals. Ask a staff member to let you out.
Also I believe this would be necro-post, but I'm not sure

Just make a bunch of portals until you find one that works fine.
