Welcome to the signup thread for Event #4. Read what this event will be about and what will be required below and add a reply to this thread with your in-game name so you can be added into the list of participants. If you do not sign up you will not be able to join. You have until July 4th to sign up! What is the theme?This theme will be focused around terraforming. Make any sort of structure you want, even add a few small builds on it if you'd like! What are we looking for?We will be looking for interesting designs, plenty of detail put into the terraforming, and a good use of the plot given. Okay, so I've seen quite a few people not know how to upload screenshots to the forums, so I thought Id make a post showing how I'd do it since I dont think theres any posts about it. This is only for Windows and Linux, if anyone knows how to do it on a mac, please let me know! Step One: Use F2 to take screenshots. Step Two:Go to imgur.com, and click on the big blue button in the top corner that says "upload images". You'll get something that looks like this: Click "browse your computer". Step Three (Windows Only):This is where you have to locate the screenshots folder. Type %appdata% up at the top, like so: and click ENTER. Look for a folder called ".minecraft". It'll be towards the top, if not at the very top, and click on that. Once there, you'll want to click on the screenshots folder. Thanks to kag1999 for explaining how to do it!
Navigate to your home directory. It should be "/home/username/" Its the one with the little house next to it in the file browser
Hit Ctrl + H. Hidden files will now visible.
There should be a folder called ".minecraft"
inside this folder is a folder called "screenshots" this is where your screenshots are. Search for the picture that you want, click it, then click "Open". If you would like to upload more than one screenshot, hold the ctrl key while clicking the pictures, so that you can select more than one. Step Five:Once it uploads and takes you to the image, you should see this on the right of it:  ] Look for where it says "BBCode (message boards & forums)", and copy the text under it, then just paste it onto the forums here. Should look something like this: [img]http://i.imgur.com/xhYvXDk.jpg[/img]Step Six:This is for if you would like to edit the size a bit, since screenshots tend to be too big for the forums (this part is optional, though it looks much cleaner): For example this: [img]http://i.imgur.com/xhYvXDk.jpg[/img]would look like this: Too big right? The first is /togglealerts, or /ta, which when on, will notify you when other players say your username.
Is this only for you full name? Or will it work when someone says 'kag'?
Those who have been on the server recently may have already noticed a new feature that gives players colored names above their heads, and in the tab menu.
And is this something that would eventually make its way into the SMP server?
Its your full name only, and as of right now I don't believe there are any plans for it to be on the SMP server.

Hey all, we now have some new commands! The first is /togglealerts, or /ta, which when on, will notify you when other players say your username.
For recruits and up, there is also a command called /optipaint. Essentially, when it is enabled, if you destroy a block, the block is automatically replaced by whatever block you are holding.
Those who have been on the server recently may have already noticed a new feature that gives players colored names above their heads, and in the tab menu. Hopefully this will make it easier to see who is what rank, resulting in less confusion for all of us.

Aah I wasnt aware of that, my bad haha. I wasn't saying it's impossible to find them. I was saying that for a custom plugin, that doesn't seem like the best way to go.
Well no, its not the best way, but my point was it isnt hard to figure out lol

I've been seeing a lot of people changing their names to impersonate others, and while it may have been funny in the beginning, it needs to stop now. This goes for both SMP and creative. If I see people changing their name's to another player's names or any variation of such, they will receive a warning, and if its done again, there will be consequences.

We dont know if theyre trying to do this unless we open the book. Try not to ban if you can help it, just mute the player and watch them. If they continue to look for ways to get people to read the book, then ban them.
