Title: The Republic of Oceania
Post by: Wyboth on October 20, 2012, 12:13:22 pm
I have started work on a new city in member world called Oceania. So far, I have finished the lighthouse, and I will be starting on some tenements soon. The only thing I am in need of is protection stones. If you have any you are willing to donate, preferably lapis or diamond, please give them to me. I appreciate it!

We have now opened a shop at /home Wyboth. It's still under construction, but it is functional. I would like to remind everyone, specifically HDblazing, that tresspassing into the shop and griefing will result in you not receiving service from the shop in the future. The same will happen if you steal other players trades.

Also, a reminder that applications are open.

Accepted, sorry for the wait. You may move into the ground floor of the lighthouse. I can't get on until Wednesday, but on Wednesday I'll add you to the PSs and doors. Remember not to let anyone outside until the entire city is protected.

Accepted. You make take the second room of the lighthouse. I will add you to the protection stones and doors now.

Edit: Added both of you. Warp to my /home and exit the shop. You will see the lighthouse directly in front of you. ComputerGameLPer has the bottom floor and goalieguy60 has the second floor. Make yourselves comfortable. If you would like to help, you can do so by donating me stone bricks. They are needed for construction. Now that there are members of my city, I will begin building tenements as I promised. If you wish, you may move into them when they are completed.

It probably won't be done for a very long time. However, you may apply for a room in the lighthouse. Members get a 10% discount at the livery (the shop).

Sure, I will give you a tour. Just be warned, not much of the city's finished. I won't be able to get on until this afternoon, but if you see that I'm on, come to my /home.

I have now finished 2 floors of the tenement building. ComputerGameLPer and goalieguy60, if you would like to switch homes from the lighthouse to the tenement, you may do so, but please leave your rooms in the lighthouse as they were when you moved in to them. I put torches in the tenement rooms because I didn't want to waste any glowstone that some people may not want. Anyways, 4 rooms are available in the tenements, and a few more in the lighthouse. Because of this, applications are open.

(Offtopic) what was in 1984?

Its a book.
He asked what was in it, not what it was.

It's a dystopian futuristic novel where the world is ruled by three autocratic powers at constant war with each other. People are brainwashed into loving the government and are constantly fed disinformation. If you are suspected of treason, you are brought to a torture camp called the ministry of love where you are "rehabilitated".

My city's not like that at all.

Double post to bump, please do not merge.

The city's walls are now under full construction. I will be willing to trade for stone bricks. If you are a city owner and are in need of a certain item and also have a large reserve of stone bricks, state what you need and we will negotiate a trade.

Title: Re: Oceania (Not Like 1984)
Post by: Wyboth on January 16, 2013, 09:45:00 pm
I have access to lots of sand, so I can easily give you sandstone. How about 1 stone brick for every 1 sandstone?

Title: Re: Oceania (Not Like 1984)
Post by: Wyboth on January 17, 2013, 03:51:26 am
Okay, I'll go stockpile as much sandstone as humanly possible.

Edit: Here's how this will work. Go to my /home. On the right will be a chest. I registered the rights for you on it.
(click to show/hide)
Inside will be the sandstone. Take the sandstone out and put just as many stone bricks in as you took sandstone out. We'll keep doing this until one of us runs out.

Perfect!!

And do you have wool?
Yes, and in red, white, and blue (coincidence). How about 1 stone brick for each wool block also?

Edit: I have put 105 wool in the chest, so if we do 1 wool for 1 stone brick, I should have 105 stone bricks as well. I also have pumpkin pie that I need off my hands, if you would like to trade stone bricks for that.

Forgive me for failing to mention this earlier. I have now completed the city's walls, thanks to generous trade deals with OzzyKP. I will now work towards completing the mob grinder (the big platform over the shop). Following that, I will build the walls of the shop all the way to the grinder, then build the streets and lights.

Also, a reminder that applications are still open.

Due to pressing circumstances, nobody is to be allowed inside of Oceania for any reason except for residents. Residents, please remember to close your doors after using them. Anyone caught trespassing will be asked to leave. Failure to do so will result in staff intervention. Understand that your safety is our number one priority in Oceania, and these rules are only being enforced for the sake of it.

Alright. If you're not online, I'll still add you to the doors and such. I'll give you both directions to how to get to your homes if you aren't there when I'm online.

When you go to /home Wyboth, you will be in the shop. Turn around, and you'll see the door leading outside. You will have access to this door, but no others in the shop. When you go out this door, make sure that you close it behind you. Not all of the city is protected, so if you leave this door open, you leave the city open to griefers. Anyways, the lighthouse should be straight ahead, so head for it, and take a right when you reach it. Walk until you reach the end of the road, and the tenements will be to your right. Enter this building. Caanite's room is immediately on the left, and FNV's is on the right. Either of you may chose to live in the lighthouse, but be informed that the rooms are circular and decrease in size the higher in the lighthouse they are. If you want a lighthouse room, let me know. Also, if you set a home in your room, you must always remember to keep your doors closed here as well. Should you decide to have guests in your rooms, make sure that they do not go outside, even if they are trusted. It wouldn't be fair to let some people out and others not, so until we are 100% protected, only members can go outside.
