Join Date: Well, i joined opticraft on 19th March 2011. But joined Survival during the final days of the 1.8 (Beta) Server, which i think, was around December 2011

Why you should become a moderator:I've been a Moderator on this server before, around this time last year, however, due to my heavy work load from school, and exams at the time, i chose to resign. I don't want to sound big-headed, but I've played minecraft for over 2 years now, and in my time, I've encountered almost every trick in the book, everything from the old "My brother stole my laptop" to the "I dropped juice and my mouse glitched", so i'm not going to be fooled by some of the tricks from the griefers. As of late, the only thing I've found myself doing on opticraft is talking in chat, the odd mining trip here and there, or just helping out some of the newer people at spawn. It would be something for me to really become dedicated to, i will be leaving secondary school this year, and as a result, will have 'Study' leave from May onwards, to then begin college in September, i'm going to have an unbelievable amount of free time, and when college begins, i'll have just as much, take 3 days a week of college. I believe I have what it takes to be a moderator, and part of the SMP staff team. I've been a classic operator, however since WOM broke, and classic became inactive, I've not been on there, regardless, i still have the experience of being a member of the staff team.
I hope you take me into consideration,

Well then, since daylight sensors where added in 1.5, i thought i'd make one, i didn't honestly think i'd have such problems... The wiki says this is the recipie:  and sure enough, it doesn't work...

Justst going to be saying that my activity will have a drop, as i've got lots happening on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
I will still hopefully be able to get on during those days, however, not as regularly.

During all of my recent mining digging my new base, I've been contemplating what to do with what will become around 75 double chests of cobble, and whilst on one of my random internet browsing spree's, i found myself watching star trek episodes from the 80's, then i thought, that would look cool in Minecraft, and yes, i know, it's been done before, but in classic, my plan is to do it on the SMP server. I'm not looking for any help, me and my friend have a tendency of taking on overly ambitions projects, my friend being 'Ugalyboogaly' he's only a member, but he doesn't talk in chat, as it's usually me & him on skype, so he's not trusted, but he's been helping me an awful lot recently, and we decided to actually build something with what we're mining, but what I'm asking for, is an opinion; it's 100 blocks in diameter Also, i've just realised that the underside shape is in some dire need of some re-shaping, this topic helps me spot my own mistakes :p The USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D :  Progress so far : as of like, 1 hour of work : Warning : i play on quake pro FOV so it makes things look a tad... abnormal , like circles, for example

Hey, I would first off like to point out, that this issue is NOT for all players, but a good few of the players i've talked to in-game, and on mumble, seem to be having the same problem as me.
Basically, i have a blaze spawner, it's been spawning fine, until around 7pm GMT yesterday (6th may) Where i went offline, and logged back in at 19:30, as i would do, when looking for a new tool, i started to AFK in my spawner, well within detection range, around 21:00, i came back to my computer, to my surprise, I went down my ladder to kill the blazes, and, nope, none, I've been sitting on it all day so far, and still, nothing, I've asked mod's and a member of the development team to come check it out, when they did, it spawned, when they left, it didn't, sometimes people visit my '/home' and when they do, they are within range, some of the people who visit, trigger it to spawn. ZXfear also owns a spawner about 30 blocks from mine, and neither of us trigger each other's, to me, it seems like a bug, where it's somehow not detecting either of us as players, it's pretty disappointing, as a cant ask another player to AFK for me, some of the mods I've asked, seem to not know about the issue, and i haven't seen a post here yet, so i thought I'd just let you know.

Just wondering, as creepers don't do block damage in the real world, how come ghasts destroy blocks in the nether, or if this is a undressed glitch / mistake

Hey, as of late, i've just started having random problems with my computer... It's taking no time at all to start up, but when it does, it's slow as ever, i've bought and extra 4gb of ram recently, which was broke when i bought it, so im waiting for a replacement, so i only have 4gb at the moment... Im seeing this is the processes   If i try to load minecraft, it crashes...

Why you should become a moderator:I've been a Operator On the classic server for quite some time now, and i have become far more active as of late, i just generally have more free time now, when im not on classic, im on SMP, and Visa versa, I have the confidence to take on more responsible roles, and i believe i know lots of things about minecraft, and the community, all the things people try, I dont want griefers to ruin the SMP server, as it's getting even more popular than the Classic server now, classic can be really hectic at the best of times, and i've seen cases like the other day, where so many people are complaining about grief, and related issues, the chat just flies by like a speeding train, more MOD's on at these times would help ease the pain of people being griefed, and a relief on other people in the server, who enjoy playing peacefully, without interruptions from griefers, at times when no mods are on, the most mods i've seen on at one point was about 4, obviously, this is timezones, i believe the GMT +/- 0 timezone could do with more MODS. Same situation happens all the time, "help, <Griefer>, is griefing my house!!!" and i can't do particularly do much to help, the most helpful thing I think I can do at the moment is place water, which I do as much as i can. When the holidays come to a stop, and everybody's back at school, the mods wont be on in my time-zone as much as they are now, as a fair few of them are not from the same time-zone, and I'll probably not see them again after this holiday, as they & me will be back at school / work... This significantly reduces the amount of ops + mods I see online in my time-zone. Tm usually free, so will probably be on as soon as I'm in from school, usually till tea, then afterwards.

Just a suggestion for what i believe to be an overdue needed command, i cant stand the insanity of the chat whizzing by as im trying to do whatever im doing, it's SO frustrating, im sure it would be a useful command for any other people who enjoy playing peacefully...

So one year today, i joined the forums... And one year yesterday, is when i joined the magnificent classic server I'm not one for anniversary speeches, but i can say, it's been one good ride :-), and i'm sure it shall stay a good ride. Probably the most satisfying moment for me so far, has been becoming builder, after trying so hard, as i wasn't, and am still not, a very good builder But yeah, Thanks for the Experience, to everyone in the community, an of course, the great Opticalza himself for his amazing programming, and running of the server

So lastnight, i was up till like 5 am trying to figure out a method of de-coding a 7segment display, and alas, i did!  Now im just working on RAM for it so as it can remember 2 or more numbers and make them appear in sequence  Post and redstone creations you've made
