There should be a new command /balance <player> this would be useful for seeing if someone is trying to weasel out of paying you or just seeing hoe much money your friends have compared to you.
P.S. I have seen this command on other servers, so i know it exists
also, it should say your /baltop page and rank #
-
right now, your described functionality is only available for moderators and above.
i don't know why only moderators can use it, but this seems like a reasonable change.
-
when i was trusted, i often searched for peoples rank in the /baltop for ages
being able to see howmuch someone has, could be very usefull, for a couple reasons
-
I would love to have this put in! Great change.
-
I always thought about this, but what you cando for know is ask them how much they have and do what kas said and check the /baltop.
-
I do like this idea very much as looking though /baltop can take time and so this new command which moderators have would be an easier way to simply see someones balance without all the trouble and time wasting. Good suggestion.

Can any1 who has the power to do something about this do something about this?
-
i was thinking something exactly like this!

i posted this awhile ago but it wasnt answered so i wanted to bring it back. i(and alot of players on opticraft) HATE having ti go through pages after pages of balancetop to find a players balance. instead, and ik this works on other servers qnd moderators here, you could do /balance [olayer]. i had another idea to add too, and that would be to type /balancetop [player] and it tells you what page you are on.
so those are my ideas.

I don't tend to find my self wanting to find what a persons balance is i would just do the smart thing and ask the person.
-
Well it's not really any of your business...

I agree with both posts. People are too damn nosy about others business. If you're really curious, why not ask them? Or if they aren't online, wait to ask them.
-
.the reason id care is if they only have $20 as a balance i would charge them less than if they had $500,000. and some people would lie about that (people have) just to get cheaper prices.
-
You might care, but what about everyone else? We're not going to change permissions of commands just because 1 person would benefit from it and everyone else wouldn't.
It's like checking out someone else's bank account without them looking-- you think I'd want some complete stranger to be peeping at my account all the time? Probably not...
As alicia pointed out:
It's not really any of your business

thank you for xombining these xeadin and my real wonders are now why did everyone like the idea a few months ago but now everyone hates it? D:

Granted, it was a good idea at the time, because people would be able to see who had the balance to buy/ sell/ trade something and who didn't, but now people realize that this ability would have repercussions alongside those benefits-- mainly, some player bugging certain individuals, who had a lot of money, to buy/ sell/ trade from that person's shop that isn't doing very well, snooping around and looking at other people's balances without a good reason, and the like.

If you noticed, only Redchecks, Alicia, Xeadin and I responded to your "new" thread before Xeadin combined them. We are not everyone. We are simply staff relating our opinions NOW because we didn't see your old topic. The other people however agreed THEN.
My opinion still stands though. Its none of your business to go through someones money balance. And Xeadin and redchecks summed that up well with their examples.

i see your point i guess.
