How'd you get your username? Did it come to you in a dream? Did you get it from a friend? Did an angel from outer space descend unto your keyboard and type out a prophetic word that you just HAD to use as your username?
Tell me how you got your minecraft name! I'd love to hear!
For example:
I got my username from a friend who allowed me to use his account. I became known to the community as Zeradeth, so when I got my own account, I pawned the name off of him. He made the name because of something to do with the words The Red Death. He would often say it with a funny accent, which turned it into Zee Red Death. Then, he just mushed it together and out came Zeradeth, all shiny and new, ready to be stolen--*coughcough* borrowed.
Edit: I was not aware this topic had been made at least 4 times; I was told it was made like once before but it would be majorly necroposting if I were to comment on it :O Sorry! Still interested to find out your stories!

i was extremely obsessed with the lonely island, LikeABoss, Like_A_Boss, LikeA_Bowse and etc was all taken, so I went back to my illiterate days and came up with LIEKABOWSE. I hate the username and I want to change it.

I was extremely obsessed with "Territory war" and it was from "Afro-Ninja Productions", you can kinda see where that came from. And the Rick, well... it just somehow got in there... "Afro" being my username would just be... kinda messed up. And zera, its pronounced Zayeradith right? Or is it Zeyradeth?

Well mine was my ps3 account but my mum came up with it, she came up with daniblue since my names dani and favourite colour is blue and blink 182 was my favourite music at the time but the rhyme is ' I'm dani I like blue and I'm 18 too (2)' tad random :L made my account feb last year (2012) but I've had mc since early 2011 but I had a 'free' one ;)

My username actually has a pretty boring backstory. My friend watched the matrix and wouldn't stop calling me Neo. He came up to me one day and said, "You are the one, Neo." I liked the ring of theone, so I took that, put some numbers on it, and became what you all now know me as.

My name is Moses, shocking right? And my best friend's little brother use to call me "Holy Moses" during summer camp. One day he got minecraft one day and told me to try it out, so I registered my name as Holy_Moses and here we are today. I almost named my account Kenmeri after my favorite datsun. I did end up making an account called Kenmeri but its a spectator on classic and i forgot the pw lol.

Well my brother had an account before me, Epiclizard99. As I lacked inspiration I decided to take his idea.. So I became Coolcrab88.

Well I love Orcs and so I wanted to come up with a interesting orc name and I eventually got to gogar and the 72, 72 is my fav number, My friends sometimes call me gogart tho XD

This is the username that I use for all my gaming, not that that's so much. I first used it on Club Penguin. My initials are A.V.C. and 2 years ago my teacher started calling me that. The username came first, but the nickname quickly caught on among my grade. As for the 2468, just some random numbers. If I redid my username it might be fun to select a more complicated sequence such as some Fibonacci #s, but yeah. That's pretty much it.

I made my account when I was eleven mind you. I already played on multiple websites and I'm surprised I didn't choose my universal username "Sweetch" or "Sweetch12345" but I chose one from another website I play on. The website is called chickensmoothie.com. You "adopt" animals which are draw by the producers. They also had some made up animals called Butterfly wolfs. I guess I liked the name and chose it. Now butterflywolves is my new universal name.

Well, I was on vacation, watching my older cousin playing Minecraft Classic. I asked him what that game was. He said it was Minecraft. When I made an account, I just came up with my initials, and my graduation year. I was such a nub. I need a time machine so I can change my username to something better.

The second I got on, the first thing I did was type in smp.opticraft.net in the Direct Connect :D Some of you may remember me Saying "Cory_S hello" and so on

When I found out about minecraft I wanted to create an account. I was sitting there trying to think of a name so I thought of a game I really liked (Fallout New Vegas) and what you are in that game. Then, I decided to put part of my name at the end of it. I really want it changed though.

In 1996 my favourite musician decided to compose the music for a computer game called Quake. One of the level bad guys in said game was called a Vore. (Stupid Spider like creature that hurled fire.) Put the 2 together and you get VoreReznor.

Well, my last name is Zazzarino, and ya know, every once in a while my friends would be like " sup zazz" and I liked that. so that's where the Zazz part came from. And then u put master at the end cuz I thought it sounder cool. There ya go, "ZazzMaster"

I decided to make a name that was basic and slightly funny. I thought of salsa because I loved it. I thought it would be funny if it was in its standard place. Or something like that, I don't know.

SoulKnight- I had this really boss idea (when I was a kid) which consisted of Soul Knights, and that's where it came from.
Sadly, it was taken.
GT- This part came from Dragon Ball GT, GT standing for Grand Tour, but that doesn't go well with SoulKnight Grand Tour, so it literally are just letters to make SoulKnight look cool. (SoulKnightGT)

Mine was virtually a copy from the DJ Felix Da Housecat (who took his name from the cartoon Felix the Cat) - I didn't much like the cartoon, but used to listen to Felix quite a lot, until Tiesto nuked the dance scene with his tunes. But I couldn't hardly call myself Tiesto now... could I.. haha
My other game names are

My username is 360OLLIE, I came up with it when I was in 5th grade. I knew there's was this skateboard trick called a 360 ollie and my nickname irl is Ollie so I thought it was a perfect fit, I now use the name 360OLLIE for everything pretty much.

Me and my buddy used to watch a lot of cod videos on youtube. We watched one particular player named MisterFantasmo often. MisterFantasmo had a friend he would feature on his channel known as Kid Lazer.
In one of our classes we were supposed to get into partners/groups to create these stupid interview skits. Me and my buddy partnered up and then proceeded to do nothing. When the time to present the skits came around, we just improvised. He was my interviewer "Mister Fantasmo" and I was the interviewee "The Kid Lazer". Shenanigans ensued. Our teacher stopped us in the middle even though our presentation was like one of the only two that had a positive reaction from the class. The rest were boring as shit. Tsk.
After that a bunch of people started calling me The Kid Lazer. It was funny to me, I liked it, it stuck. I've only used it for like 2 different games including MC though. :P
