I know that this has been a complaint for a while, so I decided to create a thread for it... Most people, buy ender pearls and use them to
1. Dupe their inventory
2. TP through wood doors
3. Go and throw drop parties on top of market

I think that only the trusteds and up should be allowed to use ender pearls

Personally I don't like ended pearls and it would be nice if they were removed all together, but it wouldn't be fair to people who use them for non-glitchable means. And there's nothing wrong with the drop parties.

I dont like them for their glitching abilities, I use them for travel sometimes while exploring. So yeah I'm down for this

Sounds reasonable. Although it's probably better to find the bugs causing these and fix them, rather then removing ender pearls for people all together.

I support this %100. As a lot of you know about the village incendent, we think they might also have glitched in with these.

Duping items with them has either been patched or cant be done on our server ;) seen people try before hand just die over and over

well i like ender pearls cause i love tping through the spawns since you can't die you can like go places and find easter egss through out the spawn i htink we should keep them in spawn but not other places since it is alot of fun just to tp through spawn.

No. You can dupe the enderpealrs themselves with a mod. I will not say anymore.

I like that idea. But, the only reason you dont want them for members is because they can glitch a door.
Therefore, you can place iron doors that can't open.
Or, to stop selling enderpearls to other people.

This does seem like a good suggestion, and it should happen, but that is just another thing for people to complain about not being trusted.

I dont mind, like really if people want to get out of a room they will, if they grief they are banned... and if they dupe more than likely they will be caught. Cool idea it doesn't effect me so I dont have anything bad to say about enderpearls but others obviously have stronger opinions on them then i do.

If this passes it would make me happy. At least even member plus only would make me happy.

Yes, definitely not guests, most of them abuse them. But members don't need to complain about not being trusted. I just think that trusteds should have another permission that not everyone has. We got this rank, because an operator has trusted us. Members do not have the trusted rank, because, although some can be trusted, not everyone can. This was just a suggestion of mine lol

Good idea. However, duping items doesn't work on a bukkit server, only vanilla :P
Also, iron doors stop the glitching through doors thing.
However, this (if implemented) would allow users to freely place wooden doors without the fright of someone glitching through.

There are other ways of duping with enderpearls though. I won't get into that...

I've had trusteds glitch through my door cell where my home location is. Of course at least they don't grief or anything, and when I ask them to leave then they respect that. It's just annoying that you can't really produce a proper hold that will only allow certain people through onto your property. And there's the back command. I had to build a special holding cell surrounded by lava to guaruntee the safety of a couple of my villagers in the event of a massacre that would burn anyone trying to glitch through into the holding cell.

I think Guests and Members should be able to at least craft with them (Ender Chests!) 1.3 sooo excited!

I agree with this, since I have joined this server I think Trusted's have lost a lot of privileges. I remember them being accessible to flint and steel and other cool thins. This is going to be a nice implementation considering we finally can say to a noob: what does Trusted mean? We can either tell them, place water or give them a long list of cool things. Sorry for a little rant but I kinda think some things should be limited to trusted plus as well.

Yes, please make us be able to use flint and steal too. Trusteds really only can place water.

Evank, if we were allowed to use flint and tinder, then more people may complain about wanting to be trusted all the time. So be glad you're able to place water, as if what if we used flint and steel abruptly? Some people tend to wreak havoc when they have those privileges. But... People can still logblock burnt down buildings, right?

I think there might be a flag set for the server to prevent fire from destroying burning material, and naturally fire doesn't burn forever unless it's burning on netherrack which naturally doesn't get destroyed by fire ever.

It's a world guard flag like preventing TNT or creeper explosion.

A simple license plugin to use enderpearls would be good
It would cost though so that nobody can abuse the plugin
And trusted people don't need to pay since there trusted and
Probably won't shoot enderpearls through doors and trap doors etc.

Trusted privileges have already been talked about in this thread (http://www.opticraft.net/index.php/topic,12562.msg116503.html#msg116503). There is no need to keep on making duplicate threads if the response is going to be the same.
Trusted players don't necessarily 'need' anything at all. Be happy with what you have. If we feel the need to add in, modify, or remove anything, it will be at the discretion of the staff to discuss about the benefits and detriments of a certain item or ability. We have to make certain that what we add or remove will appeal to EVERYONE-- not just a select few groups of players.
Remember that ranks do NOT make any one person better than anyone else. It is a privilege, indeed, but it should NEVER be treated as royalty on the server. This is a huge problem and it needs to stop.

I believe either everyone gets ender pearls, or no one gets them. I am not a fan of endar pearls but some people use them to play how they want, and I believe if we take those privileges away from them they would be very upset.

I vote trusted plus because I know some members I wouldn't want the to have the privilege of having Enders pearls

Xeadin, with no disrespect intended, it's not extra privileges we want, it is so we can stop all these annoying guests from breaking into our farms and other private areas. I actually half disagree with this topic, I think it should be members only. Although, the only additional privilege I ever asked for was flint and steel, mostly because it was revoked and I thought it would be helpful of we could start lighting nether portals for other players again. I would be willing to do it. If not, I will stick to having to craft fire charges.

You've asked for way more and fire charges are disabled too. To be honest, most of your Trusted suggestions just seem to me like you want more added to it. You want to add something then you find a supposedly honest reason to support your cause, and then you go for it. Xeadin has stated a strong point. So have many other people in said Trusted suggestions.
I'd like it if they were disabled completely. Even some Trusted members are not trustworthy. But that would be unfair.

i got told trusted weren't allowed to have fire charges any more because some idiots misused them

Really? I was ingame, and clearly said I made some fire charges. Arsenic said it was fine.
Edit: We made water trusted only so that people wouldn't abuse it. People are clearly abusing ender pearls. I think we should just raise it up to member+ until we can see that members actually abuse it, then if needed, make it to trusted plus. In short, at least make it member plus.

I don't see what's wrong with members (not glitching) ender-pearling??? to the top of the market.
Now what I do have a problem with is players glitching through walls, and doors in order to break in to places regardless of if they grief, or kill mobs. Even if they are completely harmless, and just want to look around, I wouldn't want someone glitching into my area.

That is allowed. I do it to host drop parties. What pisses off the moderators is setting your home on top of there.
