Recently I moved from a small private school to a middle school. I have been there since August now and still hav t told anyone I play minecraft. I want to hang with the "minecraft geeks" but it would ruin my current ego. Also I'm a girl and in his day and age--sterotypically speaking-- I'm not supposed to be into "video games" but Instagram and Facebook and twitter. My personality is very shy, so I may never expose my "secret" when the boys talk about creepers, I just sit quiet and act confused. I was wondering if anyone was going through his same trouble.

I talk about minecraft whenever I feel like it. people say: "HA NOOB YOU PLAY MINECRAFT!!!" I say: "stfu I bet u haven't even played it before, so you can't be talkin bastard" after that they never say that again
not sure if that'll work fer girls though :/
my best tip: be yourself; don't fear what others think of you. if you let others contral your personality, then u may as well be that person. so be that minecrafting butterflywolves we all know and don't fear the ocasional bitch who thinks badly of it

These minecraft people have tons of minecraft stuff. They wear all the creeper shirts. I don't want to be with people who my friends make fun of, it's just I want to talk about stuff like "didya hear about the new update?" And try to get them on opti and my server.

Considering the fact that I wear a creeper hoodie, anyone who can recognize it know s I play mc. XD but don't try to hide who you are and what you do, you'll never find real friends that way. If they don't accept mc, then fuck them.

I actually met a person from my own class in a PvP server , His MC name is the same as his real name , I talked to him in real and said I was ivy2112 even my real name isnt ivy ;)
I thought , OMG It's him , That chance is like 1 on 10.000.000 :O

I stick around with people who probably will accept that difference, the thin is once I say it the creepy geeks will be all over me, and the others who haven't told, the girls, I won't know who plays and who doesn't. I want to hang around the girls who play, not the weird guys.

Minecraft isn't "geeky" or "nerdy" or some shamful secret that isn't supposed to be revealed. It's just a game. Girls play video games too and most people know that. Please don't be a stereotype believer:

Nerds aren't even real, they're just smart, different people. My friends know I play MC and some of them play is also. I've overheard conversations about Minecraft at the library at my school and I know of this girl that plays it. There is no shame in playing Minecraft, even if weird guys might be all over you. Also:

Tell emm. I have that, as you said ego in school or reputation. Be yourself, almost all my friends now play it and it didn't hurt my ego or rep one bit. Tbh all my friends were looking for something fun, now we all play together. Just depends on your friends. My school is not infested with mine craft haha.

I do infact talk about mc in-school all the time. It all started out when, just 2 of my friends at the time had mc. I think they were the only people in the grade. Then, my cousin really showed it to me. I wanted it so bad after that! I finally got my dad to buy it a year ago. My friends helped me with stuff and we were often talking. As my other friends who don't have it start listening in on the convos, they get interested. "Hey! What game are you talking about? Sounds cool!" Now, a year later, I have like than 15 friends in my grade who have actually bought the game. These people are kinda the people in the middle like me, are partially nerds but aren't considered one though. Even some of the "cool" kids have become interested in the game. My original friend showed me Opticraft in like May of 2012. :D And I've also had friends from my grade and district come online. So for me, it's a good conversation starter for me. Sure, a tad nerdy, but who cares?

I'm in the same school district as 360, he got me on opti. We talk about it all the time, a group of about 10 friends, all with mc. In fact, I even started a village exclusively for the people that I got onto opticraft.

Oh yeah, forgot I told DarkMime that I liked minecraft, he came
to me when he wanted to get an account, I've suggested Opti
to him but he doesn't seem quite interested at the moment, if
you see him please help him out (that goes for you too caanite,
you're probably one of the other people he might go to if he
needs a little nudge/help to keep him on opti)
