Why I should become moderator:
May I ask if you could judge me mostly not on my age? Thank you.
Every summer, I look over 3 kids that are currently six or seven. One is very nice, while the other 2 are extremely rude and fight a lot, making me keep my eye out to make sure they don’t hurt each other. It is a real hassle, but I feel like it has made me more mature and responsible for others.
After Hurricane Sandy swept through the east coast of the United States, I saw in the newspaper and even outside my front door the damage it has done. I just wanted to help someone. Lift a tree off their lawn or help pump water from a basement. My house was just about the only one with a generator, so we regularly had 40+ people at our house, and sometimes I had to get out into fresh air, and when I did I helped the people on our block with small downed trees and the branches all over their lawn. And every time I got a “thanks” it put a smile on my face.
Before and the storm, on Opticraft, I just about finished all of my personal projects, so I began to help people more with water, and every “thank you” made me feel similar to the way it did helping everyone after the storm. I would just like to feel that feeling more and know I honestly helped many people out. Also, I have help set up and now admin another server as well. It is a tough job, but I do believe I can handle moderator on Opticraft.
I can come on anytime, I wake up early and go to bed late so I am flexible.
Edit: more stuff. On this page, i think i cheered cazual up http://www.opticraft.net/index.php/topic,15139.15.html He had been quiting the mod apps due to reasons i do not know. I posted 4th down. All that i said is true and just happened a few years ago(though i said in present tense on the post). All i said i believe to be true as well. I cannot stand watching people suffer, especially when i could do something about it. My cousin with cancer i talked about is now cancer free. One of my cousins going to college has a good chance of getting into yale. Things do get better. Also, i have participated in St. Baldricks, which is an orginization that supports you as you raise money to fight kids cancer, and shave your head bald. In some cases it is easy to help. This was not that case. Imagine walking onto a school knowing 1/5 of the kids and being bald. You get stared at. It's not easy to help. But it is worth it. Over 2 years i raised over $15,000 for kids cancer research. This year a team of about 10 kids including me, sodasam, and hockeymanseven are doing this. What i mean is, it is not easy to be nice but it is worth it.
