It has come to my attention that the ball was still teleporting out of the field. I have raised the wall height one block and this seems to have worked. Looks like to wiki incorrect about the dragons egg teleporting height. As for a stadium, it's in the works.

the build isn't done, just the main building to contain the ball. I want to build the stadium around the field still.

Yes you read it right, this is a working soccer field. The design was simple. The ball (dragon egg) is contained by the outer walls so it won't teleport out of the stadium. The game play still needs to be fleshed out. For now there is a goal area on both sides represented by brown wool.

I still need to complete the stadium around the field, but the field is ready to play. /home b1ueJ0ker soccer

if anyone would like to flesh out some standard rules for the game, I would love some input.

1. each player/team chooses a goal as there own.
2. each team will spread out on their respective sides of the field with one kicker in the center circle next to the ball.
3. someone (other then a kickers) will have a count down to zero in which both kickers will try to kick the ball first.
4. once the ball is in play anyone can kick it "first come first serve"
5. the game ends when the ball lands on a brown wool block, the defending team of that goal lose, regardless of the kicker who touched the ball last. If your team kicks it in their own goal you forfeit the game. If your team kicks it in to the other goal then you win

There are out of bound lines on the field. If you wish to use them, then the player who touched the ball last has kicked it out of bounds and the other team may play it where it lies. This will however slow the game down.

I may have to hold applications for refs (players who i trust with the dragon egg to pick it up and place it back in the middle for the next round) for now i will be this person.

I love the fish tank. You will have to show me it working.

Suggestions / Re: New voting reward
« on: September 27, 2013, 01:54:52 am »
It's funny how everyone's argument to change the reward from diamonds to cash seems to be "this was supposed to be SMP" "getting stuff for free isn't SMP so give me money not diamonds"

If your complaint is how much this server isn't SMP anymore, you really shouldn't be asking for money as a substitute. Money let's you go to the market and buy almost anything you want with out working for it. Money is far from SMP when there is a market.

I will go out on a limb and predict that if cash is a reward for voting (keep in mind many don't actually vote when they click for the diamonds) The ease of getting cash will all but halt trading between players in game. When money looses it's value why go through the trouble of finding someone that's online and willing to sell for cheaper then the market. If they are voting also they really don't need your money ether.

It's often this need for money and the trading that create friendships among the Players.

Money already can be obtained by donating. I think it's fair to say the donations help support the costs of keeping this server running. Opti has a well oiled machine, that's balanced rather well and the server's success is proof of this. I strongly believe cash as a reward for less then a minutes worth of work is no better then being AFK for hours just to farm.

Spawners at Herobrines Keep
I have 23 spawners protected total in this one area.

2   skeleton spawners
5   zombie Spawners
16 spider Spawners

Out of this mess of spawners under Herobrines Keep there are 3 Places where 3 or more spawners activate at the same time.

The arena has 5 cave spider spawners at once.
The grinders has 3 cave spider and one zombie spawners at once.
The grinders also has 2 cave spider and one zombie spawners at once.

These are the spawners i have Protection stones and/or Project Protection on

5 spawners light at once is rare indeed, however I know a player who has 6 spawners that light at once in his Project Protection.

I don't know of anyone with a spawner cluster of more then 6 that will light at the same time. So if 6 is the record OzzyKP holds it.

I have a door in my Herobrines Keep that will randomly disappear with out any log history of it being removed. It stumped 2crzy4uall the first time it happened, then a few days ago it was gone again and Joshskiizz had a look at the empty doorway and again the door was gone with out history of it being removed. This is in a project protected area by the way. Not really a groan, but left them thinking wtf  ;D

I'm glad to see others like the idea. I have no more input other then i trust the staffs decisions, and I hope this suggestion will provide a strong foundation for the staff to build on and make something the whole server can be proud of. If something should come of this, I would love to be first in line to be apart of this. If this proves to be a bad idea, no hard feeling.

The problem with a copy of (example - Herobrine's Keep) is it would freeze the creation in time. It's unfinished, but not abandoned. There's so much more detail I have planned. Survival crafting is a slow process on a massive creation (+500,000 blocks have already been placed). I have a year into the keep and I'm not even close to done. I would bet the old guest world (where Herobrine's keep is located) will be deleted before I finish everything I would like to do to it.

Copying the Keep as it is now won't do it justice 6 months from now. Having a warp would allow players to watch the progress.

I maybe the only player who has never placed my /home behind a door to keep players out.

I understand that many players don't like random players walking around their builds, but this isn't true about all players, that's why i suggest an application. Players who don't want to have their builds public shouldn't put an app in. By opening an application you could see if there is enough to even take the time.

daniblue182 understands what i meant buy warp station. You could build a place just like you have for the warp east/west/north/south but rather the sign takes you to the already built location.

one example - would be a sign that's say's (Herobrine's Keep) when a player clicks on the sign they are teleported to the coordinates that /home B1ueJ0ker is set at.

another example - If Qu1cks1lva wanted to add Emerald Keep then there would be a sign that say's (Emerald Keep) or (emerald Keep by Qu1cks1lva) and the sign would teleport you to the coordinates of Emerald Keep.

You could get as creative as the PvPhub or as simple as the East/west/north/south teleports in the member world.

Support / Re: Zombies Everywhere

I have a self made village with villagers near my castle and it seems to spawn the "Zombie Village Sieges" very often, this has only started happening to me after the last update. If your home is ideal it could have spawned a Zombie Village Siege

what i mean by ideal
At night, there is a chance that a zombie siege might occur. This is when a large number of zombies spawn in or near a village, attacking what villagers they can reach, crowding around and pounding on the doors of those they can't. On hard or hardcore mode, they can actually break down the wooden doors of the villagers' homes unless mobGriefing is turned off (this is true of all zombies, not just during sieges.) A zombie siege requires a village of at least 10 houses and at least 20 villagers. Villagers will commonly enter their houses and close the door before any zombies can get in, but they will not attack.

this may or may not be of help
