The only problem with an actual book duplicator would be the coding required to implement it "legally"...  You would have to have a window that opens up and allows you to put a book (to be duplicated) in one slot and a book (to be written to) in another slot.  For that to happen you would have to create a plugin that all players would have to use.  Not gonna happen...

Then again, if you want something that will just make a copy of your book and spit out a duplicate I can guarantee you that Opti probably won't let that happen either.

This is bull ^he knew ^he was in my farm when u go there it says don't steal - MANLIKEZEBRAMAN and ^he took more like 64 blocks from the columns ^he should not be unbanned I have eccorigal for proof
And my farm has no walls...so u didn't get locked in....

Please don't post on ban appeals unless you are either a Mod, or the person making the appeal, as it causes unnecessary clutter and can spur arguments.

I'd also like to make mention on the topic of NPC's that people should know when you have villagers you have a chance to have a zombie attack, and the chance is pretty high.  I've gone through 3 of them so far on my island.  The gangs will spawn outside, and if there is enough room, even inside buildings.  They do a lot of damage and will kill ALL of the NPC's if you don't have any iron golems wandering around.

Unless you're absolutely sure your NPC's are being killed by the plugin I wouldn't be too quick to blame it.

Sorry, I thought since my thread had been hijacked with an argument, and I removed the argument to put the thread back on-topic, it would be ok to unlock it and allow the original thread to continue.

I'll relock it and keep a better eye on my threads in the future to stop people from hijacking them.

I already explained in the OTHER topic (suicide booth) how to do that Chief, and it's working PERFECTLY on my island.  So perfect that I actually had to implement another method (aside from Opti's plugin) to keep the population down because I was still generating TOO MANY villagers... You need to stop filling up threads with your complaining about it and GO READ the solution to your problem.

You sure?   I need a plugin that will not only allow the music player to play Justin Beiber... It must also adjust the player's skin so blood comes out of the ears, and their health must lower 1 heart every 20 seconds do to them flailing their arms around and uncontrollably punching themselves in the face over and over again.   *LOL*

If that plugin exists, I need Opti to install it post haste!   *LMAO*

Yea, the current dev build of bukkit is pretty horrid if I must say so myself.  Just the utter lack of code optimization is enough to make me cringe horribly.  Not even "NoLagg" can sort it out.

So it looks like the plugin does a really good job, but I still had a bit of an overpopulating issue so the Suicide Booths will still come in handy for anyone designing an island like mine.  My problem (if you call it a problem) is that I force my villagers to spread out, which kinda gets around them grouping up to be targeted by the slaughter plugin.  I logged in last night and had probably 60 villagers moving around town.  I fully admit that's far too many villagers.  I placed a few suicide booths in the most populated areas of the island, and it thinned them out literally overnight.  *LOL*  Now I'm down to having a regular population of about 20 villagers wandering around, which I think is reasonable.

We should give them a choice between quick and painless or slow and horrible :p

Slow and horrible death eh?  Anyone know if you can import Justin Beiber audio tracks into Minecraft?  *LMAO*

That or just let them roam around in a large area like viperzeroone has done, what I admire about him and his villagers, is he doesn't cram them in small areas trying to keep them safe from people that might kill them, he just lets them roam free.

Actually there IS a building where I do keep some villagers "safe" from players.  My breeding house is completely enclosed, but has an opening floor so I can release villagers from it.  Then they're shuttled via a water tunnel into the adjacent house which allows them to escape to the island.

Three a bug, at night all villagErs will run to one point and if there's a house there all will enter, if u don't believe this ask Alicia viper
Im aware of this. Try and space your houses out, like viper does. Even so - the culling isn't aggressive.

Thanks Opti...  While having buildings spread out does help I did find that they all bunched up around the same building at night and tried to cram it full, the actual secret to my village is FORCING the villagers to spread out by adjusting that building.

If you take a close look at the infrastructure UNDER my village you would see my secret.  That one building right by my breeding house has multiple doors, and when the villagers go into those doors they fall into a "transit system".  This system uses tunnels and water to move the villagers away from the breeding area and out to the edges of the island.  I've got one tunnel going to a house by my mansion.  Another tunnel goes the opposite direction and drops them in the club.  I've also got a 3rd tunnel planned to take them over to the church area, and a 4th planned to take them to the house by the library.

Along with the tunnels to move the villagers around, I've also created several "suicide booths" around my islands to ensure the population doesn't get out of control.  It's all about controlling the villagers.  Do that properly, and you won't have any issues.

As for ANIMALS, whenever I make an area for them I don't use any "YouTube Tricks" to get things done.  I literally build a big pen (so they can spread out) and breed them.  When I start to get too many, I kill them off and start the breeding process over again.  Might be a shocker to some, but a feather farm doesn't need 1000 chickens.  Nor does a leather farm need 1000 cows.  10 will do!  You just need to put in some effort to breeding, and be patient.

ANOTHER GOOD REASON...

...for you to build a Suicide Booth is to keep your villagers fresh.  You can (apparently) only trade a limited number of times with a villager before they become useless.  If you keep refreshing your villager population you'll always have fresh villagers to trade with and won't have to search through a mass of unusable ones!

As I understand it, the villagers can only have three trades available at a time, and each trade has a limited number of uses before it 'expires'. However, when a trade expires it makes room for a new trade to become available for that villager. My sincere apologies if my information is incorrect.

You could be right, I'm really not sure.
