Portal to "The End"

I was aware that a few months ago there was a public portal to the end right outside of spawn to the West, but I can't seem to find it now. Does anyone know if it got moved, or if there's a new one now?

It wasn't an official public end portal, someone had just psed a big sign. Ender eyes will help you find it.

Knight_Of_Zero:
Is it actually in an underground fortress, or is it one a mod/OP placed? Because if it's above ground I might be able to find it with the Live Map.

Underground fortress, all 3 are naturally generated

If this is the portal you are talking about it still exists. If not, it is on the coordinates x:-651 y:666.
