Ghasts do damage?

Just wondering, as creepers don't do block damage in the real world, how come ghasts destroy blocks in the nether, or if this is a undressed glitch / mistake

Sometimes, Ghast fireballs do tend to blow up blocks in a couple of instances.

It's a bit of a 'hit & miss' when it comes to fireballs, so just be wary ;)
