There was a problem where once the spiders saw you, they would climb the wall then they would drop again (just high enough to kill them) because they were at half a heart. I tweaked it a little and it doesn't happen anymore so I'm pretty happy with it, but thanks :)

Did you try water ontop of fence posts? cause they take the full damage, and can be moved....
