Protection Stone Help?

Now before you all BEAT ME, I did browse the forums and could not find anything too clear about this.
So i now have a protection stone and I want to build without others messing with it. Can anyone in detail explain how to use the stone and exactly what it does?

Certain size area is protected depending on which you choose (the market will help if you don't know the sizes).
/ps visualize will show you the area protected.

Okay, look, we're OptiCraft. OptiCraft has really, really nice and kind community members, and the amount of griefers that has been banned is extraordinary. Over 2000. So really, griefing isn't such a huge huge problem like on other server. We still have griefers, but not to the extent of other servers.
