Lapis ps crashing minecraft

When I place my newly bought lapis ps (yay) the screen turns black and minecraft crashes. Can someone please help me solve this issue. Thanx ;D

Yes dude. You have placed a mod in your Minecraft.jar
There is no way to do that otherwise. I have tested it twice..
Delete minecraft.jar and place again the ps.

How did you come to this conclusion? '

It could also happen if you do not have enough memory and when you place a ps stone the game creates the glass field which could cause your client to crash if it did not have the resources.

Ironically enough, this happens to me, when placing Coal PS, yet not my diamond and lapis...

Really? I have never thought of that. But, I had that problem because of a mod that I was trying to use in singleplayer.
Later on, when I had problems with coal ores, I called Optical to test my ps. Nothing. ALl were fine. Then, I checked my things. I deleted minecraft.jar just in case, and all work fine since then.
