if been looking on the live map to see if i can find my friends house, not easy... on another server i was on, they had a map and it had the name of the player & where they was on the map ... thought that would be cool to add , it would be alot easier... just a thought X:D

That's the "Dynmap" addon, and I'll agree that it's pretty nice.  You would have to customize it to disable the underground view though.  Griefers use that as a tool to locate hidden things, and players can use it to scout without actually exploring, all in all not a good thing.

yes... but i like to know where people are ... the word griefers makes me annoyed ...game ruiners is a better name :D X

Currently, the map that optical has up right now isn't able to handle livestream information. It updates every 15 minutes, and the fact most people crowd around the market/ spawn makes it pretty unreliable if it had the 'dynmap' feature.
