Banned for x-ray mod even though i wasn't going to use it for any benifits

I would first like to say that I was not going to use the x-ray mod for any benefits on my part at all. I was merely testing that the plug-in for anit-x-ray plug-in was working. I used it and reported to the mods that the x-ray plug-in wasn't working (since nothing happened). Then, about 1 minute later  when I was in the middle of talking to the mods, I was kicked from the server. When I attempted to rejoin, it said I was banned for 4 days. I had merely thought the x-ray mod wouldn't function under the plug-in, and didn't realize (until it was too late) that it would just ban you. I'm truly sorry about my inconsiderable actions and would like my ban to be removed.

I was using it for SP. Anyways, that isn't the problem, I was inconsiderate and attempted to make sure the plug-in was working without thinking.

Why? I don't see it as a justification at all.

Redchecks:
The rules are clearly stated that there is to be no mods of any kind used.
Apart from Optifine, which is an exception.
