Reason for application: Ever since the SMP server was updated to 1.0, many of our classic ops have moved there and helped out with the great many new features that were added. Although the SMP server is doing well with such experienced help, the classic server has unfortunately been left somewhat neglected. During the hours that I play, 95% of the time there is no operator on. It hurts me when I tell guest after guest that I cannot ban this griefer or fix their house. It hurts worse when they quit in frustration because no one was there to help. I want to be able to help our guests because we can't keep losing potential builders and donators. I want to help Opticraft grow; we are already the best classic server there is, yet we can be even better. We just need to take care of our guests.  I still remember the first time I was griefed as a guest, and the frustration that I felt at losing all that work. I want to be able to help others avoid that same frustration.
Why you should become an operator: As builder, I have helped guests in every way possible, by cleaning up towers or giving advice on builds. I have been with this server a long time, and I know the community well. I am very mature, and capable of handling troublesome guests and helping the good ones.  I am also a very quick learner. If I make a mistake, I will learn from it and I am not likely to repeat it. Additionally, I am an operator on another server, so I have some experience in this role.  I am fully responsible with such powers, I will not abuse them.
