A joint project for all the crafters

Victor1261:
Did you notice that the diagram left out the CN tower?

optical:
Hi,

I tried out a 512x512x1024 map locally today, and the miencraft client simply cannot cope with it. It is too large.

It consumes 256mb of memory, which the client cannot handle.

You'll have to reconsider this project I think.

Mr.Monkey:
We never intended to do it that big, because it would have loads of unused space at the top. :)

Out of interest, is it possible to have non cuboid world? For example, for this project a world that is wide at bottom and gets thinner at top.

we already did optical. Like Monkey said the world really only needs 416x400x832 however this can be subject to any changes or limitations you want to make. In the end a world of 320x320x832 would be the minimum required for us. I only said those numbers as an overly open estimate. I will change now the amounts to avoid any further confusion.
