OK back on topic:
Does anyone know if the boat physics have been changed in 1.8?  Like going up waterfalls?  Cause I was thinking of making a water based course in the sky that would require those "boat lifts"

There are much oceans on 1.8.1. (because I have that version). So I build much docks. Hope Opticraft would be on 1.8.1 soon.

Yes, but if you go far enough you might get lucky and find some 1.8 bioms
