Opticraft SMP Server

You've all been waiting for it, and its finally here!

Thanks to the help of recent donations, Optical has created a survival multi-player server. After some setup we've decided its time to open the server to a fair number of the public for testing. This means that the server is not by any means permanent, and we can not guarantee your creations will last. So don't put all your hard work into it... just yet (also the map will most likely be wiped after the beta 1.8 release in a few days).

This server is meant as a survival server, and not a creative server. PVP is disabled, but enemy mobs are still a threat. The classic server will remain up as the creative server. For the time being, titles purchased for opticraft classic are NOT available on the smp server.

The server is outfitted with basic ranks: default, operator, admin, owner. All players will start out as default... including operators on the classic server! Do not ask for a promotion, you won't get it! There aren't any applications either. Ops will be re-selected by admins if they are needed.

Being that there may be some players who are ops on the SMP server but not on Classic, or vice versa, we have created a few new forum ranks:

SMP-Operator: can view smp operator forum
Classic-Operator: can view classic operator forum
Global-Operator: can view both classic and smp operator forums

I believe we can set passwords for blocks, right?

Not blocks, but u can set passwords for doors, furnaces, chests and such.
