Reason for application:
I would like to begin by expressing my grateful thanks and respect to the Admins and operators on the Opticraft server. Their immense work in making the server peaceful and popular has been noticed by the well-experienced and the new un-experienced players.

As Oliver Cromwell once said: ”A few honest men are better than numbers”. Even though I truly respect the small group of Admins and operators, operating on the server, I must share my concerns. These concerns are the reason why I apply for this application.

During my stays on the server, I observed operators without honour and respect. The ones who misuse their title, and lack the ability to help and care about the guests. To see how griefers destroy creations and the creativity of the humankind is heartbreaking. Especially when the ones privileged to protect such, ignore the chaos, because they are busy with “their thing”.
With this message I now seek a spot amongst the privileged and honourable Admin and operators, to keep the server sustainable and balanced for the players.


Why you should become an operator:

Word says that your server is looking for mature and experienced admins and operators. My age fills that point. When it comes to admin-experience: I have few, if none personal experiences as an admin, but my player-experience and the understanding for which principles the operators work with, on Opticraft, is well-understood.

I may not be chosen to become an operator, but I would love to tell you that my goal, if chosen, will be to change the server. Change the environment; make it safer, by being there.

But let me ask you this: Why are there not given any chances to unknown people? When did familiarity become the key to do good for the community?

Take for example Barack Obama. Not only did he have a foreign name and background, but remember, he was actually "unknown" for the majority just some years earlier, before his presidential candidate. Still, people gave him a chance, and he didn't fail. I feel this is a similar situation.

We can't trust someone we've have never (or rarely) seen before with the powers and commands of an operator. Also, comparing yourself to Barack Obama isn't the best comparison in this case.

I understand what you all are proposing. Thank you for your time and understanding. I'll proceed by following your advices; building relations and familiarity FIRST.
