1.6.2 update

not sure what the now formalities with updates are, servers seem to be out dated and i didn't realize that i had hit "update" or anything like that. any news when opti will update, or any clever ways to get around 1.6.2?

You can use Minecraft Version Changer, just select which update you would like to patch your jar to. Download here: http://mcvc.in/

You can also use your technic launcher which lets you play vanilla minecraft also. Though I don't know how to update vanilla on that thing...

Edit: As alicia said below, open the new launcher, click edit profile, click the drop-down bar that says "Use version:" to the left of it, and select release 1.6.1.

There's a way to go back. Try clicking edit profile or something and look for 1.6.1

cool, thanks and to anybody else that need specific directions i figured it out, 1. hit "new profile" in the top right when the launcher opens, then in the "use version" box fill in the desired "release 1.6.1" and hit save profile. thanks alicia,
