Can't Connect To The Server

I have recently been having trouble getting on to Opticraft.  I can log on and get all my listed servers up, but Opticraft just keeps having the "Can't reach server" error.  Is there anything I can do about it?  But sometimes I can get on, but then when you type it appears 2 minutes later and the lag is very bad and then it disconnects me again...

What changed from before? In terms of internet connection/Minecraft alterations.

Did you make sure that you've put in the proper IP address?

I play with the Launcher, its just that when you see how many bars you have I only have 1 or nothing.  The server lags out allot and I have no idea what to do about it.  I haven't recently downloaded anything.

I've always had 1bar of connection and been able to play fine, but recently, I've also been lagging out quite a lot.
