"Forum Games" child board

But then we'd end up with the same problem as the current offtopic board, the forum would be crammed with different genres and popular threads would constantly be bumped.

I don't think the whole console games thing is necessary. I rarely ever see threads about other video games, and offtopic is the perfect home for them. I still agree with one forum games subforum under offtopic.

Well that is a whole other discussion.
But this Forum Games subboard is unnecessary imo. It's off topic of other dedicated boards; even if it does contribute to discussion, the "discussion" is just random jesting or useless comments.

But wouldn't it be the same as the 'Trade Central' and 'User Events' being child boards of the General Discussion board? Both those boards were made because we started to see 2 different topics forming in the 1 board (people selling items and people creating events) therefor 2 new boards were created to filter this.
I'm seeing the same thing happen with the Offtopic board, I'm seeing a new topic, that topic being these 'forum games'.
