Pretty sure this would be clientside anyway, and require everyone to install a mod, as I have never seen it used in a server before, and I've seen a lot of servers.

Well ive seen a server where people had coloured names and I did not install anything.
Tobs:
I've seen this on a few PvP servers to define the team colours, but I don't see any use of having it here as optical or dejected might as well spend time developing something more useful. It would be intresting to have, but I can think of better things for them to spend time on ;)

I think it would be nice just to match the way it is on classic, but no one really cares.

I like the idea, and ive seen it alot on servers and i never had to install anything ither
