How to Get More People to Join Opticraft Server

I like to think that the Opticraft community is better than that. Going to other servers, spamming the IP and getting banned is doing the opposite of what we want. People should come here because they think that it will be better than their last server, not because of some spammer.

On top of this, we don't need to be constantly reminded about the number of people that go on this server. We are WELL AWARE of that and we are aware of the causes.

Why do people expect others to 'stay' on here when they have other things to do as well? They shouldn't be force-fed to 'STAY ON OPTICRAFT.'

When ever someone comes onto opticraft saying stuff about their server or a server that they like, what do you think? I normally ask them to stop because I find it annoying and I dislike that person because of that first impression, and also I dislike that server because the person spreading its name is representing it, whether they took it upon themselves or not.

Plus, if there were ever a person to listen, it would most likely be a griefer.

It's a different story if you play on other servers and have friends there and you invite them to our server, that's fine.

Jeez, okay. That was a lot of critisizm. for my server, a small, new, basiclly private server, i decided to try to get a few people on. i went to a relitivly large server, and asked for players. i didnt spam it, i said it once, then went back to my own server. about 20 seconds later, a really nice, polite, really dedicated player came on and played for HOURS building a really nice cobblestone house. ever since, i have had the impression that advertising sometimes works. Cant blame me for that can you? Anyways...

Interesting how this a problem for smp. I thought only classic had a "low amount" of people.

For the first part, lol it was meant to. second, i know that school is in, but still, people play. IRL lives are 100% of the problem, but out of the few million people who play MC, only a select few hundred are on every day. when summer comes around, we either will explode with new players, or we will continue to weaken due to our server not being advertised enough.

All of the above is not in anyway mentioned by anyone else. I 1,000% agree with that, and question why that was even brought up. No one is threatening/begging for people to stay. We are sad to see them go, and wish for them to come back, but if they cant, they wont. Simple as that.
