Need help with minecraft mods

I have been playing lots of minez lately waiting for opti-pvp to come out. I got a mineZ mod and want to have a vinalla (with optifine) and a modded version. I tried making 2 files in my %appdata% but that didn't work and I lost all of my saves and texture packs. I was wondering if anyone can help me or give me a video link to have 2 versions of minecraft. Thanks, Ryto

No, it will stay here. It has nothing to do with the SMP server.

But it also has nothing to do with the Opticraft Server software.
No means of disrespect or anything Henz, but I'm going to move this to SMP Support because it fits in there more than it does the Opticraft Server software forum.

Note: Since I did move this from a previous forum, rytovius has no intention of using these mods on Opticraft. So that's out of the question.

Ya I can't play opticraft with the mods so I want to know how to make 2 minecrafts. I tried one video and lost all my saves and stuff.
